6 Years ago, a man rumored to be so strong, took the lives of many people. His name was Kinoshiba Tokana. Two boys, named Muigetsu Kyoushi and Kairo Ketsushin, were the best of friends. One day, an unexpected occurrence of Kinoshiba would change their lives drastically.

6 years ago- Yokokunishiba Village

Muigetsu and Kairo lived in a small village, it was very nice and a peaceful place. Kairo and Muigetsu were hanging out one weekend, Kairo's mom was at work on her overnight shift. It was very late, around 3 A.M and neither Kairo nor Muigetsu could sleep. They decide to go to the kitchen.

[Young Muigetsu] Kairo.

[Young Kairo] Huh?

[Young Muigetsu] Well, when is your mom gonna be home?

[Young Kairo] I think she said six or nine.

[Young Muigetsu] Alright.

[Young Kairo] My grandma is sleeping in her room right now, but we should be good. What do you want to eat?

[Young Muigetsu] Hmmm.

[Young Kairo] How about Jello?

[Young Muigetsu] That's fine.

A little while later, after eating the jello, Kairo and Muigetsu hear loud thumps like someone is walking somewhere in the home. Nervous, Kairo and Muigetsu start backing away from where the sound is coming from, towards the front door. The room door to Kairo's grandma's room crashes open. They both jumped with fear. No one walks out of the room, Kairo slowly walks up to it thinking it may be his grandma, but when he walks into the room, she is nowhere to be seen.

[Young Kairo] *frozen with fear* N-no way...

[Young Muigetsu] *frozen with fear* What's wrong? Kairo!

[Young Kairo] *frozen with fear* The door just swung open, b-but my grandma isn't here.

Kairo and Muigetsu hear banging on the windows behind him and immediately turn around. No one is there, but they swiftly run into Kairo's room. They hear walking towards the room door and they lock it. They hide under the bed and stay there, both hyperventilating. They saw feet at the bottom of the door, but they just disappeared in an instant. The room window broke open and shattered, they ran out from under the bed and unlocked the room door. They rush for the front door then they feel their legs being grabbed and pulled back into the room. When they look behind them, nothing is there. They scream, but it's like they can't be heard. Then, a man suddenly appears before them. This man is Kinoshiba.

[Kinoshiba] No one can hear your screams, they're all dead.

[both] *screaming* Don't kill us!

[Kinoshiba] You're all that's left of this village, how does it feel?

[Young Kairo] *realization* You don't mean-

[Young Muigetsu] *resentful* It can't be-

Kinoshiba throws both of them through the house walls, they go flying into the trees behind their village.

Present day- 6 years after the incident - Japan

Kairo and Muigetsu's home

Kairo jumped up out of bed, waking up from the nightmare. Muigetsu is still sleeping so he goes downstairs.

[Kairo] Good morning Yotuba-san.

Yotuba was Kairo and Muigetsu's guardian. He was cooking breakfast, waiting for Kairo and Muigetsu to wake up.

[Yotuba] Good Morning, breakfast is almost ready, you can sit down at the table.

Muigetsu comes downstairs and sits at the table.
