The Journey with an Assassin

Muigetsu jumped up, awaking from his nightmare, soaked in sweat. He got out of bed and walked to the restroom. He still hadn't gotten new glasses so his eyesight wasn't all that great and he missed the toothbrush and grabbed a razor instead. He then grabbed lotion instead of toothpaste and put it on his razor. Just as he was about to brush his teeth, Kairo came walking around and saw him standing there.

[Kairo] Hey Muig-

Kairo noticed the razor and the lotion in Muigetsu's hand. He quickly yelled out to Muigetsu.

[Kairo] Hey! What the hell are you doing?! That's not a toothbrush or toothpaste you dumbass!

Muigetsu rubbed his eyes and looked at what he was holding. The items quickly dropped out of his hands and fell into the sink. He looked up at Kairo, who was standing there worried and confused.

[Kairo] Are you okay?

[Muigetsu] You scared the shit out of me! Don't just creep up on me like that!

[Kairo] Well if I wasn't here you would've needed a new pair of gums you fucking idiot!

[Muigetsu] Whatever, I couldn't see what I was holding.

Kairo reached into his pocket and gave Muigetsu a pair of glasses.

[Kairo] Here, it's from Katoichi.

Muigetsu opened the case up and put the glasses on.

[Muigetsu] *relieved* Thank god! I needed that.

[Kairo] He said he noticed you weren't wearing any so he assumed they were broken or got lost so he got you a new pair.

[Muigetsu] That's nice of him, but how the fuck does he know my prescription?! Does he stalk me or something?!

[Kairo] I gotta watch my back while I'm taking a piss now, he could be hiding right behind me. Anyways, we should get our things and get going now.

[Muigetsu] Yeah you're right, we wouldn't want to hold up that guy.

They got their bags and headed to the destroyed Monkai Academy to meet up with Tatsumo. When they got there, he was waiting for them at the entrance.

[Tatsumo] I see you've made it. Shall we get going?

[Kairo] Mhm, we wouldn't want to waste much time. So, how far away is the village from here?
[Tatsumo] About five hundred forty-six miles away from he-

Kairo and Muigetsu's jaws dropped instantly. Their eyes opened up wide and they screamed loudly. They were thunderstruck by the words that just came out of Tatsumo's mouth as he exclaimed how far away the village was.

[Both] *thunderstruck* WHAT?!

[Kairo] *flabbergasted* YOU'RE KIDDING RIGHT?!

[Tatsumo] *awkwardly* W-well, no. You said you had to get there in two days right?

[Muigetsu] *aghast* TWO...DAYS! THAT'S NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR 500 MILES!

[Tatsumo] *awkwardly* W-well, we can move at a faster pace, we could possibly make it there in one with the right route and speed.

Kairo and Muigetsu calmed themselves down.

[Tatsumo] Don't worry, you'll make it in time, just follow my lead.

[Kairo] I hope so, you better not be playing around.

[Muigetsu] It's crucial that we make it there on time.

[Tatsumo] Trust me, you will. Anyways, let's go. Try and keep up with me the best you can.

Tatsumo flashed off, Kairo and Muigetsu nearly lost track of him. His movements were so quick and flashy that Muigetsu and Kairo could not keep track of his movements.
