The Rematch V: Destructive Power

The park - Kairo v.s. Rintatsuchi

Kairo stood there in shock, observing Rintatsuchi as he had just suddenly awoken. His body was completely dark and covered in a black, putrid aura. His hair stood straight up and his eyes were completely black, glowing slightly white in the center. He floated up into the air, head twitching, and aimed his fingers at Kairo.

[Rintatsuchi] Die...

Dark orbs created from Rintatsuchi's life energy began to form in the air behind him. They all followed the direction of his fingers and blasted towards Kairo at high speeds. Kairo quickly used his shuuchuu technique of koseishi, total focus, and sped away from them at high speeds. As they collided with the ground, they broke and destroyed the landscape. They caused the ground to crack and dirt to come up from under the grass. Kairo was quickly overwhelmed by the attack as the orbs barraged him. He was sprinting as fast as he could away from the area they were in. Rintatsuchi landed on the ground and darted forward at high speeds, immediately catching up with Kairo as they glanced at each other. Kairo's eyes glowing a bright white light, his, a dark putrid void, their gazes met. He cocked his leg bag and kicked Kairo in his temple, launching him to the side. He held his hands forward and the orbs appeared once again and barraged Kairo.

[Kairo] *struggling* What the hell is that?! What is going on?! I can't create a single opening to attack. He didn't have this speed before!

Kairo stumbled off the ground and dashed away. He ran through the trees and tried to dodge the orbs as Rintatsuchi followed.

[Kairo] He shouldn't be able to move like that, nor use his techniques. He was surely dead! Is that a curse or something?!

Meanwhile in the grass plains outside of the city - Kotaro v.s. Muigetsu

Muigetsu took deep breaths and stabilized his breathing. He activated his shuuchuu technique causing his eyes to glow, and rushed after Kotaro. He sliced and Kotaro easily dodged, however, it wasn't Muigetsu's aim to land it. It was a feint, he predicted that Kotaro would dodge so he dashed to the side and sliced once again.

[Kotaro] *in his mind* It was a feint?!

Muigetsu deactivated the technique and channeled koseishi in his blade. He struck, aiming for his liver and torso with a diagonal slice upwards. Kotaro dodged, but not unscathed as the strike still managed to reach, cutting his left shoulder. He clenched onto it and dashed back.

[Kotaro] *in his mind* I didn't expect him to do something like that, I guess he has more brains than I thought.

Muigetsu bent his legs and pushed off the ground with his feet, flowing energy through his toes. He dashed forward at high speeds, leaving a trail, and he struck once again. This caught Kotaro off guard as he hadn't shown his speed.

[Muigetsu] All of that training I did at Yokeitanto's place, as well as all those squats and running Katoichi made us do has strengthened my legs, and allowed me to learn how to control my energy as well as conserve it.

Flashback

Muigetsu was dashing around and slicing with his katana while concentrating koseishi in his blade.

[Muigetsu] Chi no hebi...

A snake in the form of koseishi lashed out of his blade and launched itself forward. He stopped throwing out attacks and took a second to breathe.

[Muigetsu] *breathing heavy* *in his head* ...By focusing energy in my feet I'm able to spring off and dash farther distances. By focusing energy into my blade I'm able to use my techniques.

Muigetsu held his sword to his side and crouched down. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He generated energy and poured it into his blade and concentrated it into his feet.
