The Signs/The introduction

A day later

Kairo and Muigetsu were severely fatigued after Traveling with Tatsumo. They got at most a three hour rest and have been on the move since the morning.

[Kairo] *extremely fatigued* Can...we...stop...for...a...moment.

[Tatsumo] *sigh* I guess so, you two look dead.

They both had extreme bagging under their eyes and they were also really red. They could barely stand and instantly dropped to the ground, panting out of exhaustion.

[Muigetsu] *panting* W-....Water.

[Tatsumo] I don't think I have any sadly.

Kairo grabbed two water bottles out of his bag. He handed one to Muigetsu.

[Kairo] *wheezing* Here...

They both downed the water instantly. It appeared as if the water evaporated from the bottle. Then, all of a sudden, Kairo passed out on the ground and started snoring.

[Tatsumo] *sigh* Well I'll be damned. I guess I overworked them.

Slowly, Muigetsu also drifted off into a deep sleep. Then, hours later in the afternoon they woke. They had regained a lot of energy and were ready to continue moving, however, a lot of time had already passed and it was about to start turning dark.

A couple of hours later

[Muigetsu] *yawning* Damn, that was a good sleep!

[Tatsumo] I bet it was.

[Kairo] *sniffling* mhm. '

All of a sudden, they broke out into a panic and their hearts nearly stopped.

[Kairo] *distressed* Wait! How much time has passed?!

[Tatsumo] A couple of hours, it's about five thirty right now.

[both] *in shock* WHAT?!

[Muigetsu] *freaking out* How many miles do we have left?! How far are we?! Tell me now!

[Tatsumo] Don't worry, it's just a mil-

Kairo and Muigetsu darted forward as fast as they could. Tatsumo caught up in an instant and they kept up for once.

[Tatsumo] *in his head* Where did all that speed come from?

A couple of minutes later

They made it to the location. The village was definitely in ruins but something was different. Kairo and Muigetsu felt a weird sensation that they couldn't explain happening in their bodies.

[Kairo] *confused* What is this?

[Muigetsu] You feel that too?

[Kairo] It must be nothing. Shit! I don't think we made it in ti-

Katoichi flashed in front of them.

[Katoichi] It took you long enough, and I see you've brought someone with y-

Katoichi quickly realized who the man was and he broke into a sweat. He couldn't move not a muscle in his body, he was stunned to even speak.

[Katoichi] *flabbergasted* Th-that's!...

[Tatsumo] *awkwardly* umm, is something wrong?

[Katoichi] You're from the Jintou clan right?!

[Tatsumo] Ohh! How did you know?

[Katoichi] You're Tatsumo Jintou, a high grade assassin working with the Shitsuwa Organization.

[Tatsumo] You seem to know much about me, are you a fan of me or something?
