Kairo woke up on the floor, sweating profusely, but he was unchained for the first time and the past two to three days he had some leg room. He often paced back and forth in the room talking to himself or thinking to himself, but he had nowhere to go. He got up and began to walk around, acting like he had a katana in his hand and he was doing slices.

[Kairo] Why am I even trying, I can't beat him. What am I even doing this for?

Kyutaro opened the door and walked into the room, but he wasn't alone. Behind him, was a small teenager, around Kyutaro's age, and he was in prison clothing. He threw him inside the room and shut the door behind after he walked though.

[Kairo] What's the point of this? Who is that?

[Kyutaro] This is Yane, he escaped prison today.

[Yane] *terrified* I-I swear I'm innocent, I didn't kill anyone! I swear! I was falsely accused!

[Kyutaro] Save it for later. I have a proposal for you Kairo, and this could ensure you get out of here...alive.

Kairo's heart dropped for a moment, out of both great anxiety and confusion mixed with slight fear as to what was the proposal.

[Kairo] You don't mean that, I don't believe it.

Kyutaro grabbed a blade out of his pocket and sliced the palm of his hand.

[Kyutaro] I'm not lying, only a simple proposal, and you and Muigetsu's freedom is assured.

[Kairo] *in his mind* I-I can actually be free? Me and Muigetsu? No...there has to be some kind of catch. But if he truly is speaking the truth, then I'll do anything...

[Kyutaro] You won't get another chance, same for you Yane.

[Yane] *terrified* H-huh?

[Kyutaro] Here's what I want you to do, Kairo. You've been out of those chains and free for a couple of days, and you were fed well, so you should have some type of strength in you, correct? Yane, you look well to me, unlike Kairo's condition, so you shouldn't struggle as well.

Kairo and Yane both broke into a sweat, both anticipating what this was leading to.

[Kyutaro] Kairo, if you want to free both you and Muigetsu from here...then kill Yane.

Kairo's breathing stopped, his hands began to twitch and his pupils constricted as he was filled with adrenaline, but not to kill, or from excitement, from fear and anxiety.

[Kyutaro] Yane, if you manage to beat Kairo, and stay alive, your freedom is ensured and you'll have Kinoshiba's grace.

[Yane] *terrified* K-Kinoshiba?!

[Kyutaro] That's right, maybe he'll even let you join his ranks, but you can't let that demon over there kill you.

[Kairo] I'm not...a demon.

[Yane] It doesn't matter what he is, I don't want to f-fight, I just want to get back home to my family. I haven't done anything wrong, it wasn't me that killed that girl. Please don't kill me, just let me go, I won't tell anyone or ever bother you-

[Kyutaro] That's not my choice, it's his.

Kyutaro pointed at Kairo, causing him to feel immense pressure as he continued to instigate.

[Kyutaro] Kairo, you can safely get out of here with Kairo and Muigetsu, and be reunited with Katoichi again. And you could do as you please, and I won't come after you. Unless you decide to pursue me after, I already slashed my hand to show my seriousness.
