Rematch VIII: The End is Near

Kotaro, Kairo, and Muigetsu were standing off against each other. Both Kairo and Muigetsu were serious and they still weren't phased. Kotaro eyed them down, ready to pounce at any moment.

[Kairo] *in his mind* There's that feeling again...

Kairo looked at his hands, they were shaking, but not from fear or fatigue. He too, was flowing with adrenaline and couldn't feel the damage being done to his body. Muigetsu was still trying to recuperate after the attack, but he was giving it his all.

[Kotaro] I refuse to lose, even if it means my death, I'll make sure they're gone.

Kotaro clenched both of his fist at his sides while walking forward, whilst this was going on, aura flashed out of his eye like a flame and everything around him for a split second inverted and he flashed forward a couple of meters, still walking forward, closing distance between Kairo and Muigetsu. They both were unphased and got in a stance, only worrying about finishing the fight. Slowly, their eyes began to glow as they used total focus(shuuchuu technique), and Kotaro struck. He held out his hand, creating a large barrier in their position using energy, however they quickly kicked away and fled. They sprung into the air, gliding towards opposite directions. He then proceeded to stomp on the ground multiple times, causing rocks and dirt to break up from under the ground and then held his palm forward.

[Kotaro] Henka!

The dirt and rocks floated up into the air and became sharp. The pieces shot at Muigetsu and Kairo at high speeds while they were in the air but they achieved something that they hadn't been able to accomplish before this fight. They flashed out of the air and onto the ground, completely evading the projectiles. They both sprinted forward, immediately closing distance with Kotaro with their speed. Muigetsu lunged forward with poke strikes after they neared him.

[Muigetsu] Sasu yōna kiba.

Muigetsu smothered Kotaro with poke strikes that he had no choice but to block, causing his arms to be eaten up by his blade. Kotaro dashed forward past Muigetsu and flashed behind Kairo in an attempt to catch him off guard. He held out his palm to touch Kairo but he dashed away and got in a stance.

[Kairo] *focused* Concentrate.

Kairo's eyes glowed as he charged koseishi in his blade and flashed forward, striking Kotaro across the torso. A large wound opened up and he spewed blood out of his mouth.

[Kotaro] *laughing* You bastard!

Both Kairo and Muigetsu darted forward like a bullet and sliced at the same time. Kotaro launched himself into the air, but they followed, gliding up towards him. Kotaro evaded their strike attempts and blasted them out of the air, into the ground after connecting with a hook and a kick. He lightly landed back on the ground and held his hand into the air.

[Kotaro] Kaeru!

His body flashed with aura and a bolt of energy struck down on him. He flashed forward, driving his fist into Muigetsu's block, causing it to slide straight through. When he connected, everything inverted for a moment and Muigetsu was stuck in place. Blood spewed out of Kotaro's mouth, but he continued.

[Kotaro] Genjitsu o...kaeru.

Multiple silhouettes of Kotaro appeared around Muigetsu and began to barrage him with strikes left and right for seconds. Finishing the attack, Kotaro launched his fist into Muigetsu's stomach, sending him gliding away. Kairo came dashing in, flowing koseishi in his blade and striking with combinations. Kotaro evaded the attacks as well as the lingering aura. He then flashed around Kairo multiple times in order to confuse him, but Kairo had already seen speed like this before and quickly countered with a strike of his own.
