[Katoichi] There is an academy you'll have to attend. You can train and hone your skills easier there.

[Kairo] Where is this academy?

[Katoichi] About ten miles away, it's in this city.

[Muigetsu] That's not that far.

[Katoichi] You'll be going there on foot everyday.

[Both] WHAAAT?!

[Muigetsu] This is some kind of joke.

[Katoichi] Nope, I'll be back in a month.

Katoichi disappeared. Kairo and Muigetsu were left in shock.

[Kairo] Bastard! I fucking hate this guy!

Training - 1 month

Kairo tied his broken arm to his sword so he could still train. Kairo and Muigetsu wielded koseishi in their swords and practiced kendo. Occasionally, they would do other exercises like pushups and they would run around, but they would mostly work on sword skills. They practiced their koseishi slices and used the energy efficiently without wasting it. Katoichi came halfway through the month to check on Kairo and Muigetsu.

[Katoichi] How is everything going?

Kairo and Muigetsu were training in the backyard, most of their wounds had already healed and they could move around more than before but they still struggled a bit.

[Muigetsu] Alright I guess.

Katoichi drew his sword.

[Katoichi] Show me what you got.

[Muigetsu] What do you mean? You mean-

[Katoichi] Yes.

[Kairo] You have to be insane! We're still recovering! My arm is still broken!

[Katoichi] In a fight, it doesn't matter if bones are broken, if blood is shed, danger can await you at any time no matter if you're still injured or recovering.

[Muigetsu] Yeah but, couldn't you at least wait until the end of the month?

[Katoichi] Nope. You can use anything to your advantage, even koseishi, I'll only use my sword. To make it a bit easier, I'll only use one hand.

Katoichi put his other hand behind his back.

[Kairo] That doesn't make anything better! You know how to do this!

[Katoichi] Come at me.

[Kairo] Damn you!

Kairo and Muigetsu took a stance. Kairo tied his broken hand to his sword handle and got ready. They wielded koseishi in their swords and rushed Katoichi. Katoichi reflected their attack with his sword by swinging upwards from their slice. Their guards were broken as their arms were thrown up into the air and Katoichi kicked them both. They dropped to the ground, rolling in pain. They slowly got back up, despite their injuries, they continued to fight.

[Katoichi] You can't just let yourself get countered like that, you'll die in a real battle that way.

[Muigetsu] Yeah but, what can we do? You do this shit for a living we don't!

Katoichi attacked Muigetsu and Kairo. Muigetsu blocked with his sword, feeling the force through his hands like they were being shocked. Kairo striked, Katoichi dodged and knocked the sword out of Kairo's hand, destroying the string on the sword that connected to his hand. He kicked Kairo, sending him flying back like a football being thrown. Muigetsu exchanged blows with Katoichi but his guard was broken yet again and he was kicked away like a soccer ball.
