RETURNING HOME

CHAPTER 31

At 11:45 am the next day Winston and Ben finished what they were doing and tidied up the floor before going into their shop to see who they were meeting. When they walked in the back door they saw Dom, Buster, Tobias,  Alex, Fly, Ezra, and Barron all looking at the woodwork pieces for sale. Buster picked up an eagle that had epoxy resin colours making the detailing stand out more and says "Uncle Dom this would be so cool to have by my door." 

Dom says "It would indeed, pick what you want."

Winston says "I hope you ain't buying just because our class is making it all."

Buster says "No way cousin, this would look perfect by my front door, and I'm gana put an order in for a dining setting."

Ben says "Have ya made the design?"

Buster says "No I was gana sit with you tonight and see what we could come up with."

Winston says "Put them aside and we will show ya's around then ya can carry on shopping."

Alex says "I'll take these please."

Tobias goes to the counter and says "I'll take these please."

Emily says "Are you taking these or are they to be delivered?"

Dom says "We'll take it all after our tour."

As they walk out the back Ben says "Well that was the shop, what's next?"

Winston says "Start to finish?"

They walk into a building where students were sitting drawing. Ben says "This is the junior classroom where they do their written stuff or draw up designs from their teacher. Through this door is where they cut out and bring their designs to life. And the next one is their finishing room then it's up to them what they do with their pieces."

Alex says "Are all areas divided by class years?"

Ben says "Yes."

Alex says "We can skip the rest."

Winston says "We'll go to our class which is split into 4 groups of 5 we're the only 2 who do the epoxy resin."

Barron says "Why 5 groups?"

Winston says "You will see."

When they enter Theo says "Greetings family, welcome and take ya time looking around. This group are drawing up designs which I make copies of for the other students, in the next room they are cutting up, the next is adding detailing and putting together and the next is finishing. Winston and Ben do all their own from start to finish these ones are only advanced in these areas. That's why they are split up."

Fly says "These are fantastic creations. If you make this bit a wee bit wider like this, it will make it more sturdy instead of using extra screws."

"Thank you, so could this be cut as one piece?"

Fly says "Yes, like this."

"Thank you very much that makes more sense."

Winston says "Other than Nanny, Grampy Dom and Grampy Fly are the best."

Alex says "What do ya do with the scrap bits?"

"Hi I'm Chester we let the juniors use it to help use their imaginations. The smaller pieces go to the kindergarten."

Alex says "That's good nothing wasted."

Dom says "What are ya all working on?"

Chester says "I'm doing a double rocking horse for my Ma, she's pregnant with twins."

"I'm Riley and I'm doing outdoor seating."

"I'm Daniel and I'm doing various coffee tables and cabinets for kitchens."
