While the girls were watching a movie downstairs, we also decided to turn on a movie again. However, it was the movie where Santa was annoyed by everything and everyone and liked to hand out bells. Kendall thought the plot was great and he had to laugh at many parts like I did. After about an hour, someone knocked on the door and we invited them in. Jake opened the door and came into the room to join us. "Hey guys. Are you guys all right?" he inquired anxiously and we answered in the affirmative. "Presley told me you two had an altercation and you ran upstairs as a result," he mentioned and I heaved a sigh. "Yes for the reason that Pres once again brought to our attention the bad parts of our relationship. I didn't want it to turn into a fight so I went with Kendall to his room," I explained the situation and Jake nodded. "I see. See that you don't go to bed too late. It's already 11pm," Jake reminded us and I glanced at my phone screen. "Don't worry about it. We'll take care of it," I answered him and he smiled. "Well, I'll say good night to you guys. If anything should be, I'll be in the room next door," he mentioned and then closed the door.

In between, Mrs. Knight also joined us in the room. "I will prepare your sleeping place," she explained as she entered the room with a mattress under her arm. She covered it with a sheet, a pillow and a blanket. "Good night guys. I hope you'll sleep well," Mrs. Knight said goodbye for the night. "We should go to sleep," I yawned when I saw that it was already past midnight. "I agree," Kendall replied, yawning as well. "Will you take me to the bathroom?" he asked and I nodded in response. Together we strolled into the bathroom, brushed our teeth, and got ready for bed. Once back in the room, I set Kendall down on his bed and rummaged out of my backpack for my gray sleep shirt and black workout pants. "How I love seeing you topless," I heard Kendall say as I unbuttoned my shirt and took off the shirt underneath. In response, I merely grinned and pulled on my comfy sleep shirt. I pulled my jeans off my legs and slipped into my black workout pants. I then laid down on the mattress and looked up at Kendall. The look on his face was disappointed because he wanted to do another activity with me, but that wasn't possible. "Don't pull that face," I said. "I'm trying but it's not that easy. Are you sure there isn't some way we can do it anyway? If you're really gentle, it might work," Kendall reasoned, sounding a little desperate. "Even then, it doesn't work. It might at first but the closer I get to my climax, the faster and more uncontrolled my pace gets," I explained and let out a sigh. It's not that I don't like having sex with Kendall but in his current state we should avoid any kind of effort. "Do I get a good night kiss?". At this question, I got up from my mattress and walked over to Kendall's bed. Tilting my upper body down, I moved my face closer to Kendall. Gently, I placed my lips on his and kissed him tenderly. "Now try to sleep," I whispered as we released the kiss and I caught a mild smile from him. "Ok Logie," he said as I tucked him in and he yawned. Minutes later I made my way to my bed as well, turning off the light beforehand and pulling the covers over my body. "Sleep well Ken," I said as I got comfortable. "You too Logan." An estimated 10 minutes later, we fell asleep peacefully.

I did not sleep long, because I was awakened by a whisper. At first I was surprised and could not believe my ears. The voice sounded exactly like my mother. That can't be possible, I heard the voice in my head. To check, I slowly opened my eyes to convince myself that everything was okay. At first, a bright light shone towards me and I abruptly closed my eyes. When the light subsided, I could actually catch sight of her. "Mum?", I asked hesitantly as I eyed her. "Yes, it's me my boy," she replied with a smile and stroked my hair. "But how can that be possible?", I asked in wonder. "Anything is possible if you just believe," she replied, smiling at me. "I missed you so much mum. That accident was all my fault. I shouldn't have screamed, then nothing would have happened to you" I explained and sobbed. "Logan," she said softly, taking my face in her hands. "It's not your fault at all. You did what you could and that's what counts" she explained and I felt more tears running down my cheeks. "I have to go Logan," she said and I looked at her in shock. "No, please don't go. I need you!", I begged her as she took my hand and stroked it reassuringly. "I have to. I love you my boy," she said, letting go of my hand and leaving.

"Logan, Logan. Logan, wake up," I heard a voice again and felt a hand shaking me. "Mom?", I asked hopefully without opening my eyes from it. When no answer came, I opened my eyes and could see a shadowy figure kneeling in front of me. "No. I'm not Mom," I heard a familiar voice and saw Presley's face in the darkness through the dim cell phone light. Briefly, I rubbed my eyes and then looked back at her. "Why are you awake?", I asked quietly as Kendall continued to sleep. "I couldn't sleep, then I was creeping up and down the hall and then I heard you," she explained and I looked at her with wonder in my eyes. "What did you hear?", I asked with interest as I propped myself up on my elbows. "It sounded as if you were talking to someone. After a little while, I realized you were dreaming about Mom and didn't want her to leave. Also, I heard another sob and I wanted to check on you," she explained. At that moment, I wiped the rest of the tears from my cheeks and sighed briefly. "Hey, it's okay to cry. You don't always have to play the big strong brother. I miss her a lot too but you seem to be taking this a lot more than me," Pres mentioned, stroking through my hair. "Yeah, since I'm to blame for her death," I mumbled, feeling tears well up in my eyes again. "Why do you always say that? It's not your fault. You did what you could and that counts," Pres whispered to me and after that sentence I looked at her tensely. "The same sentence Mum told me". "When? Before she...", Presley started and I shook my head. "No. In my dream just now," I told her. There was silence for a moment until I broke it again. "You should go to sleep Pres," I mentioned and tried to get comfortable in my bed again. "I will but before I have to admit I wasn't completely honest with you," my little sister started and I looked at her in wonder. "What do you mean? Is something wrong with the baby?", I asked worried and shocked at the same time. "Shh, are you crazy?! I don't want everyone to know right away," Presley admonished me in a sharp tone. "All right. What did you lie about?", I asked. "Okay, that I couldn't sleep is true. Also the sneaking around the hallway but I didn't come into the room because of your sobbing because I was worried," she launched into the explanation. "Then why?". "Due to a severe stomach ache I woke up and as a result I searched my backpack. Recently I have always carried something for these cases but did not find it this time. Until I realized that when I was packing our things, I mixed up the backpacks. My so-called "medicines" are now in your backpack instead of mine," she finished the explanation. Briefly, I took a moment to process the explanation, then said something in response. "Have you checked to see if you are allowed to take these medications?". "Yes I did. Besides, they are mostly herbal. So don't panic little brother," she explained, stroking my shoulder with her hand. "And you're sure there's nothing wrong with the...", I started and then pointed to her belly "everything's fine?", I asked worriedly. "There's nothing wrong with this little thing. Can I have the things now?" she asked again, her face contorted in pain.

"Sure. Where are they in?". "In the front small compartment," she answered me and I pulled my backpack to my side and unzipped it. "Here. But please be careful with it anyway," I mentioned as I handed her the "meds." "I am. As if Kendall didn't notice anything about our conversation here," Presley wondered as she continued to notice the soft snoring. "The meds have him pretty out of it," I guessed and Pres had to smile. "Take care of your aches and pains and then go back to sleep," I urged her, making her yawn. "Will do. Thanks Logan," she thanked me and gave me a kiss on my cheek. A mild smile crept onto my lips before Pres left the room and I sat alone in the darkness.
