It was a typical day for me. I was about to sleep while listening to a podcast when a message popped up on my phone screen. A friend of mine is blustering in our group chat. Reading her messages from the notification bar makes me feel blue. It wasn't a good day for her. It feels so heavy reading all her rants and how she feel so down at the moment. I can't take it anymore, I think I need to do something. I typed a long message, hoping that somehow it'll ease the pain in her chest.
I've been through her situation and no one was there for me to at least tap my back and say, "You're not alone in this." And I don't want her to feel that way too. No one deserve to feel miserable.. except me. I guess, I'd rather suffer than seeing other people suffer. Quiet annoying sometimes, why does it hurt more looking at someone suffering that experiencing the suffering myself?
All I could offer are my words that is covered with love and God's wisdom. If I could just do anything to make her feel better.
The actual message that I sent her tonight:
(Problems are inevitable and everyday is not a good day. There are days that we'll feel like the world seems to be so cruel towards us. But never blame God nor yourself. We can't force people to be good nor act the way we want them to act. Sometimes there are things that we can't control, so, we leave that to God. It's okay to be angry but how you respond to your anger will lead to either peace or destruction. It's okay to be sad, to cry, but always remember that you're not alone. Always choose to do good no matter how terrible things life throws at you. Just don't lose hope, everything will get better. You may not see the beauty in you but there are people who admire the good things in you. They just can't bring out the words for you to hear them but there are people who really care for you. Remember the days when you have smiled genuinely and laugh the loudest. That was not the last. Life just want to teach you something, a challenge for the strong soldier — it's you. God want you to be strong.. remember the days when you thought you can't do it anymore? You are able to overcome it. And thus, you are here today in another battle.. that you will win. God is with you, there are people that care for you.. you're never alone. It's just a bad day, not a bad life. Smile now, don't let tears dry on your cheeks as you sleep. Tomorrow is another day to survive. Face the battle with a smile on your face and God in your heart. You can do it, ikaw pa. Everything will get better :>
