Roses are red
Violets are never blue
Did I come back to level one?
When I thought I found the one
Yet, it's a false alarm - he ran
Smiles turn to frowns
Diamonds turn to thorns of crowns
Heart beats in rhythm lost it's meaning
I can't help but hope he's winning
Even though I'm losing - I'm still wishing
One day, I'll learn to decode the signs
To stop at the dead end
To not fly against the wind
To listen to their warnings
To never get fooled by my feelings
Yet, what happened is already written
It can't be erased or undone
Tears and heartache can't be forgotten
But the lesson it brought me is a sweet melody
Singing in the midst of bitter medley
What matters most is I already knew
What I really wanted to be -
Someone that is happy and free
