When you've been walking alone almost all your life
You'll never feel comfortable when someone asks to walk with you
When you've been silenced almost all your life
You won't trust someone who says they want to listen to you
When you're used to cheering yourself up
You won't expect people to be there for you
When you're used to carrying the burden
You'll cry out of joy when someone wants to help you
When you've been the last choice
Or never been chosen
Being alone is never a problem with you
But rather upset when someone finally chose you – like, "Seriously? You bump your head or something"
When you're always forgotten
You never get mad nor argue
You thought people are busy for you
You just move on because life continues
Just observing people
From the words they say
From the smiles, laughs, and smirks
To the details they could recall about me
Just wondering how come these people could see me?
When others beside me can't even feel me
I'm certain that I'm alright
Whether I'm forgotten or ignored
But the unknown feeling – I'd feel once in a blue moon
When someone would remember a detail about me
My heart skips a bit – I feel like I'm alive – I ain't a wind – not a nobody
I would also thank God every time He sends an angel for me
That's when I'll see and hear people talking about good things that inspires me
Even though they're not talking to me and their message is not exactly meant for me
If it hits me – it hits me
Some people are really a blessing
Are they aware that their presence, their words make someone's life bearable?
Even for a minute or for an hour
The kind and genuine smiles are huge deal for me
I'd sleep thinking you don't hate me
Thoughtful gestures and wisdom from others that I could see
Makes me realize that I'm just a girl – it humbles me
