"You're going?" Kay followed behind me as I made my way to the truck.
      "Kay, I will be fine."
"He just kidnapped David, has kidnapped you. What makes you think this all can't go south?"
I felt guilty she didn't know about David.
Rick came up, giving my shoulder a squeeze.
"Del here knows what shes doing, don't you worry about her. I need her there."
Kay tucked in her lips, I could see the worry she attempted to hide.
"You come back, okay?" She said. I nodded, giving her and Jake a hug before climbing in the backseat of the truck.

The sun beat down on the top of my head as I sat on the tail gate of the truck.
"What's that you're writing?" Hershel asked a thin man whose glasses were slipping down his nose. It was the first words spoken to cut the thick tension in the air. I kept my hand rested on my gun.
"A journal. Someone needs to keep track of all this.. For the history books."
"Milton, don't talk to these fucks." A tanned man demanded. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"I know you aren't talking to him." Becoming immediately defensive over Hershel.
"You're the only one I don't mind talking. Curtain match the drapes?" He smirked.
"I suggest you shut your damn mouth." Daryl spoke up. I was surprised at him defending me.
"What? You're hitting that?" The man chuckled in disbelief.
"Man, just shut the hell up."
"We have to be out here, we can be cordial. Let's all calm down and act mature, yeah?" Hershel tried to defuse the situation.
"All i'm gonna say is... when you're done with the caveman over here, i'm calling next in line." The man looked me up and done. I wanted to kill him. Actually kill him for even looking at me.
Daryl scoffed, shaking his head as he paced back and forth.
"What happened to your leg?" Milton questioned Hershel.
"A bite. Had to cut it to prevent the spread of infection."
       "Fascinating... Can I see it?"
I looked across Hershels face, looking for any sign of discomfort but he rolled up his pants leg, showing his wound.
"Man, what's taking so long?" The man groaned, wiping sweat from his forehead.
"I'm going to have a smoke." Daryl grabbed his bow tightly, taking off behind the barn. The other man hopped up, following behind him.
         "Let me join you."
Daryl just glanced at him, continuing walking. I wanted to yell at the man to not follow Daryl, but I knew he could hold his own, and I felt in the wrong trying to dictate what Daryl did.
Andrea stepped out, shutting the barn door behind her.
        "So?" I asked.
        "They're talking."

Andrea and I sat quietly, Hershel and Milton chatting about some doctor stuff that David would've loved to join into.
"You know, I never told you thank you.. for sticking by Kay." I looked over at her. She smiled weakly, nodding.
"Don't mention it. She stuck by my side too."
"With the way we left off... I just appreciate it... You could always come back, you know. To the prison."
She looked at the barn, falling silent. I knew she didn't want to leave Phillip.
"He's not a good man, Andrea." I spoke up.
       "He can be."
"Anyone can be good, but it takes someone really messed up to do the things he did."
        She looked back at me.
        "What exactly did he do?"
"When he kidnapped me, Glenn and Maggie... He... He's just not right in the head."
She examined my face. I could tell she knew what I was trying to say. The thought that the man who had done that to me was only a few steps away filled me with so much anger. It was for Rick, and the group.
"If it wouldn't jeopardize the safety of anyone, I would go in there and blow his brains all over those barn walls.. Just know who you're with, Andrea."
