A hospital in town. That was all Carol knew. Del felt a desperate need to save Beth, maybe because she was a bit selfish and felt like saving Beth would be worth Hershel dying. Maybe because she just knew Beth needed to be there to complete the group, but Beth was stuck on her mind.
She pulled the jacket around her tightly, shivers worked their way down her arms. She prayed her sickness wasn't coming back. She felt like crap, and apparently she looked like it too because everyone kept asking her if she was okay.
"Hey, you need some water? You look pale." Michonne offered her a water bottle.
"Thanks." Del took the water, feeling herself be weaker with each step, she didn't want to tell the other she felt horrible, she didn't want to worry them, things had just gotten good. She was sure finding Beth would make her okay again.
"Del, do you need to stop?" Rick whispered as he joined her side.
"I'm okay, just... been through a lot these past couple days. I just want Bethy."
He nodded but Del could tell he was still worrying about her. Kay and Jake walked behind her, whispering. It was driving her nuts, they were all looking at her like she was pathetic. She couldn't take it.
Daryl joined her side, staring down at her as they walked.
"What?" She snapped, feeling his pity for her.
"Nothin'." He quickly shook his head. Then she felt it again, the sickness rolling up. She ran to the grass, vomiting everywhere. Kay and Maggie rushed over to comfort her. It wouldn't stop. She was so starving and had no food in her but the sickness kept coming.
Finally, she stood, wiping her mouth. Everyone stared at her with guilty and worried looks.
"I'm okay!" She snapped at all of them.
"We're just worried about you..." Maggie started. She felt so much anger. They looked at her like she was a dying kid. Like she was already dead. She hated it. She hated the pity.
"I'm fine! Let's go!" She snapped, shaking Kay and Maggies hands off of her.

She walked in the back by herself. It was been quiet since her getting sick. Occasionally someone would look back to make sure she was still alive.
She stared at her feet as she walked. They killed her. It was all for Beth.
"Are you sick?" Annie fell back next to her..
"No."
"Then why do you keep throwing up?"
"I'm just nervous."
"Because you think that girl is dead?"
Those words made her stop in her tracks, narrowing her eyes at the little girl. She had to remind herself that she was just a kid to keep from freaking out.
"Man, get away from me. Go with Tara and your brother."
Annie skipped away, unfazed. Del worried what was wrong with her. She had so much anger and it had came from no where. She couldn't take it. She carried so much with her and now it started to weigh her down. She could see Hershels face everywhere she went.
She wanted nothing more than to stop and rest, but also wanted to keep going. She wanted Daryl to hold her, but wanted to be far away from everyone. She felt like she was losing it. She knew the happiness of them all being together should still be there, but all she had was anger. She remembered her rehab classes, thinking of the stages of grief. Maybe that was why. Maybe she was in the anger stage.
Michonne whispered something to Rick before walking beside her, not saying a word for a second.
"If you're here to pity me or give me a pep talk I don't need it right now." Del stared straight forward.
"I'm not... Are you pregnant?"
Those words made Del whip her head to look at Michonne, a nervousness filling her body.
"No."
"You might want to make sure... Glenn said this isn't the first time-"
"Oh great you're all up there just playing telephone about your pity for me."
"Stop that. We care about you. And you are having symptoms. You need to make sure."
"I am not pregnant, Michonne. I have had a hard time lately. If you all don't remember, my father figure died."
"We know, but this... this is more than a grieving process."
"How would you know if I was pregnant?"
"Because I have been before." Michonne looked at her. Del had known she lied before. "I notice it, the anger, the sickness. All beginning-"
"Michonne, please. The last thing I need right now is worrying about something thats not true."
Michonne threw her hands up, walking back up to Rick. Del tried to play it off like it was okay, like she knew for a fact, but now she began to get nervous. She stared at Daryl. Who turned to check on her, their eyes meeting for a split second that made Dels chest hot.
