Thump. Thump. Thump.

Dels fists impacted with the punching bag, her wrists hurt from how long she had been punching. She was feeling weak but still had so much to get out.

"Am I interrupting?" Tyrese stood in the gym doorway. Del exhaled, pushing her sweaty hair away from her face, looking down at the wraps on her knuckles to realize they were bleeding.

"No. Uh.." She unwrapped them, blood rolled down her fingers.

"I can come back, also, next time, do two layers of wrap, helps prevent bleeding." He smiled at her, she smiled back, looking back down at her hands which had started to sting from the exposure of air.

"You Rocky all of a sudden?" Daryls voice echoed as he stepped into the gym.

"I didn't realize-"

"You and Tyrese are getting friendly."

"Daryl, it's too late to try and defend myself. There is nothing there, and we agreed to be friends. You shouldn't even care." She pushed past him. He grabbed her arm, spinning her toward him. He stepped so close to her it made her tense up.

"Is it me? You said you.. you don't want to get too close... did you just say that because you don't want anything with me?" His voice was stern, as if she was in trouble. Del was confused on why he even cared, she didn't know it why was this big of a deal to him that she even conversed with Tyrese after their agreement to be just friends.

"What? Daryl, nothing is going on with me and Tyrese, just a little late night  workout is all. Okay?"

"Be honest."

"I am." Del laughed in disbelief. He wasn't acting like himself.

"I don't... The idea of you with anyone else.." Their noses nearly touched. Del felt so lustful with the closeness, almost wanting to push him away because she couldn't control herself around him.

"Daryl... We agreed to be.. just friends, remember?" She almost had to remind herself, her eyes locked on his lips. He clearly felt the same way because before she realized his lips were on hers, she was pressed up against the wall. They kissed as if they were dehydrated and each others mouths were the water. Dels hands tangled in his hair as he pulled her as close as possible to him. The feeling of his body against hers made her want to scream. She felt so wrong but could not possibly bring herself to pull away.

He hoisted her up onto his waist, her legs wrapped around him as he stumbled into the gym locker room, setting her onto a sink. He ripped her pants off as she tugged her shirt off. She could feel his cold hands all over her body. There was no hesitation this time like there was before.

He unbuttoned his pants with a quickness. Del could see the want in his eyes, the urgency. His hands were back on her as he thrusted into her.

"God!" She couldn't help it, her nails digging into his back.

"You're.... mine..." He muttered against her neck.

Del laid awake, staring at her cell wall, in awe of how easily she gave into Daryl. It was impossible for her to be able to step away from him. Just friends. They had agreed on just friends... but she couldn't help herself, and she knew he couldn't either now that they had already crossed that line.

"Goodnight." Jake said as he passed by. She didn't reply, just rubbed her eyes with the palms of her hands.

"Jesus christ," she muttered, realizing what she had gotten herself into. She didn't want to go any further with Daryl because she was scared of caring too much then losing him, but she was already too deep. Now that she knew what his hands felt like on her body, how his body felt against hers, she couldn't stop thinking about it. She knew he had feelings involved already too.

She rolled off her bed, grabbing a towel from her beside before shuffling to the showers.

It was dark as water poured down her face, through her hair. The water gave her body so much warmth.

She thought she could wash the thoughts away, wash the feelings away. It wasn't working.

Bughhhh!

Her eyes flew open to see a walker stumbling towards her, his arms outstretched for her. She jumped to the side, watching it fall to the ground. Glasses flew off its face. She squinted her eyes in the dark.

"Oh my god." Patricks face looked up at her, snapping his teeth at her. He lunged towards her. She stumbled back, grabbing a handful of his hair and bashed his head against the concrete until his groans stopped.

She sat huddled up, staring at what she had done. He was just a kid. How had this happened. So much guilt filled her. He was her little brothers friend, and she had just bashed his head in.

She reached up for her towel on the brick wall, covering herself with it while she still sat on the cold floor. The shower water poured down on him, washing his brains into the drain.

"Jesus christ." A flashlight shined on her, Rick and Daryl stood in the doorway. Rick looked away realizing Del was naked but Daryl rushed over, dropping to her side.

"Are you okay? Are you bit?" He looked along her skin.

"I'm... It's Patrick." She wrapped the towel tightly around her, her eyes glued to his dead body.

"Are you okay?" Rick questioned, looking at Patrick on the floor.

Daryl stood in front of her, as if he was trying to shield her from seeing Patrick, like she hadn't been the one to kill his walker.

"Are you bit?" Daryls repeated, his voice was soft. She shook her head, biting her nails.

"How did this happen?" Daryl asked Rick.

"He doesn't have any bites, no wounds."

"He was sick." Jake and Carl stood in the doorway. Del tightened the towel even more as if it wasn't already covering her.

"You two go back to bed," Rick demanded.

"Is he dead?" Jake asked. She could tell he knew the answer, just asking from the shock.

Del looked at her little brother, so much guilt filled her seeing the kids standing there, looking down at their dead friend.

"I'm sorry," Del whispered to them. Jake just stared at his feet. She could tell it hurt him more than it hurt Carl. Carl threw his arm around Jakes shoulders.

"Come on, it's okay." He guided Jake away. It worried her how much it had hurt him compared to Carl, she knew he was a gentle soul. The shook her head, deciding that was something she would have to worry about another time.
