Del scrubbed at the dirt on Daryls shirt. He only had two and one he was wearing. The bucket was brown. The sun was slowly going down.

"Beautiful day." Gabrielle stepped next to her on the front steps.

"Yeah." She continued washing the shirt.

"It's a blessing I get to see another day like this. God blesses us everyday."

"How can you think like that with the dead walking around?" She scoffed, dropping the shirt in the bucket. Being in a church felt weird to her. She had always been christian. She had cared so deeply about her religion, thinking she was blessed, but now she knew.

"How could you not? You're alive by the hand of god."

"I'm alive because I'm not weak, and you are alive because you locked yourself up in this church. If you had spent as much time outside these walls as we have... You would be cursing god."

"I will never curse god. He gives me the gift of life everyday."

"He took my dad from me. He took my brother." She stared directly at him.

"No, an evil man did."

"No, either god isn't all powerful or all loving because I didn't deserve to lose them."

"He needed them."

"Not more than I did."

"You seem fine and alive to me."

She stood, narrowing her eyes at him.

"You don't know. You have been safe, alive in this church. You have had food, water. You have been in this church since the start. Have you ever seen someone you love be torn apart? For them to scream for you and all you can do is run?"

He stared at her with wide, shocked eyes.

"When that happens to you, let me know if you still believe in god." She rung out the shirt, turning her back to him.

"God has guided you through life-"

"No damnit! You aren't listening! You have been safe! You have never had so much blood on you that you don't know if it's a walkers, yours, or your friends! Leave me the hell alone!" The sound of a car door shutting made her turn, trying to calm herself down.

Maggie and Glenn rushed to her, Maggie stared Gabrielle down.

"Everything okay?"

"Yeah.." Del gave him a glare before turning her attention back to the truck, hoping to see Beth, but instead a young boy stepped out, Rick guiding him roughly.

"Who the hell is this?"

"Noah." The kid climbed over the pikes.

"He knows how to get Beth," Glenn explained.

"So why don't you have her?"

"We need to make a game plan," Rick stated. Del wanted to yell at him to go get her now, but she trusted him. She knew he always had a plan, a way to work things out.

Del trimmed Jakes hair, watching it fall to the wooden floor as candles flickered around them.

"Are we getting Beth tomorrow?" He questioned.

"I hope so." She combed his hair.

"I miss Kay... and Annie and Abel."

Del sighed, she had wanted to avoid thinking about it. She hoped they weren't dead. She knew Kay wasn't equipped for the outside world. She always had Del to protect her but never wanted to admit it.

"I do too."

"Do you think they're dead?"

The question made her stomach turn. She swallowed, snipping at his hair.

"I.. Don't know.... Are you okay?"

"I don't cry anymore. I don't think I have anymore tears. I just imagine they found someplace safe. I imagine Beth back with us and us finding a safe place... but I expect the worst."

She glanced up at Daryl. Thinking about her little brother being broken killed her, but she didn't know what to say.

"Your hair looks good." Daryl attempted to change the subject.

"Thanks. I think it's your turn next."

"You don't love the long hair look?" Daryl chuckled.

"I think it makes you look dirty."

"He is dirty." Del smiled.

"Maybe I'll have mine after we get back tomorrow, yeah?" He looked up at Del.

"Yeah." She smiled gently.

She laid on the wood floor, staring at the wall. Jake laid on the pew above her. She couldn't sleep. She was thinking of Beth, of Kay and the kids, of her baby. She hated being alone with her thoughts.

The floor boards creaked above her head. She looked over to see Daryl sitting across from her.

"Ya awake?"

"I can't sleep." She shook her head, sitting up, "You should try to get some sleep... You guys have a long day tomorrow."

"I won't go if you don't want me to."

"No... I need you in there for Beth. She would want you there."

He nodded, looking at her.

"I'll be outside with Maggie and Glenn. I'll be waiting."

"Noah says they have a lot of guns, police in there."

"Are you scared?"

"Nah... I ain't scared of nothin'."

"That's a lie."

"Yeah, yeah it is."

"You gonna lay with me or are you too shy for someone to see?" She teased. She knew he got nervous to show PDA. She didn't mind though, because she knew he loved her and he would tell anyone that.

"I'll sit and watch you sleep." He sounded like he was compromising.

"Creep," she teased before rolling back over.
