Del stared out on the porch. The cool night air nipped her skin. Tonight was the night. She would go. She knew they loved her, especially after her reaction to Spencer, she knew if she no longer loved these people she wouldn't have reacted that way.

"Wheres baby?" Jake climbed up the stairs, speaking for the first time in a long time to her.

"Asleep."

He hung onto the railing, hair falling into his eyes. He nodded before jogging inside. It killed her. Her baby brother, her only sibling left, looking at her as if she was insane. As if she was pathetic.

"He mad at you?" Maggie swung around the porch railing. Del knew what she was doing. She knew Maggie was trying to keep her there. She loved Maggie. Maggie loved her, and that was one thing she never had to question.

"When is he not?"

"So ya leaving tonight?" Maggie looked at her with her pretty big green eyes. Her best friend. The only person alive that could truly know her.

"I am. Me and Beth, we're going."

Maggie sighed, staring up at Del. Almost, for a second, she could see the little girl she knew in preschool. The one who had taught her to skip, who had introduced her to the man who would be more of a father than her real one. She was leaving her, and that ate Del away.

All of them ate Del away. Maggie, Glenn, Rick, Michonne, Carl, Daryl.

"I wish ya wouldn't."

"Are ya gonna tell?"

Maggie pursed her lips, looking down at her feet. Del already knew the answer.

"No. I won't... but ya know, Delilah.... You're sure being Kay right now."

And that started a fire in her heart. Kay. She was Kay, and now she understood her sister. Now she knew what her sister had meant as if she had never got out, she never would.

"Now I know why."

Maggie shook her head. Del watched each of her expressions. She knew Maggie would love her no matter what. Maggie understood. She did. She lost everyone Del had. Her girl. Then her expression changed to pain. Her mouth hung open, gasping for air.

"Mags?!" Del stepped towards her as Maggie doubled over in pain. She grabbed her, keeping her from the porch floor.

"Maggie?!" she screamed as her only
friend looked at her, drawing her hand from between her thighs, blood on her fingers.

"Del?" Jake threw the door open.

"Go get Glenn! Stay with Beth!" Del screamed, holding Maggie up as she gasped in pain.

...

Del watched as Glenn pushed Maggies hair back from her face. She stared out the back window at Abraham and Sasha in the car behind them. She could hear her heartbeat in her ears. Maggie looked colorless. She looked terrible.

"It'll be okay, Mags." Del squeezed her hand. She watched as the gates shut behind her, Olivia holding Beth in her arms as the lock snapped shut. The truck rumbled on, rolling down the road. She felt ill leaving Beth behind, felt like her heart was outside of her body, but she couldn't leave Maggies side. She felt that sickness in her gut. That rumble in her chest. Was this it? Was this the bad feeling she had creeping up on her?

"It's about a half days trip to hilltop... are we even going to make it in time?" Jake questioned Rick. Del gave him a swift smack to the back of the head.

She turned to see Glenns eyes wide? worrisome.

"She's gonna be fine... the baby is gonna be fine."
She didn't know if that was the truth, but she had to lie, she had to ease some of that terror in his eyes.

"She's losing a lot of blood," Carl said softly. Dels eyes met Daryls from the rearview mirror. She inhaled deeply.

"We are going as fast as we can."

...

"The fuck is that?" Del looked out the front window. Wire laid in the road before. Enough to make them not be able to go any further. Bombs tied to parts of it. She furrowed her eyebrows. She looked at Daryl out of instinct for answers. He looked straight ahead.

"A trip wire. We have to go on foot." Rick answered. Dels heart began to stop. She felt it slow.

"Who would put that there?" Del looked at Rick. He sighed heavily, pursing his lips. She knew the answer. "Rick? Who would put that there?!"

"We go on foot." Rick threw the car door open. For a second she saw Daryl glance at her.

"What? No! Rick someone put those there to stop us. Who would do that?" Glenn pleaded.

"He knows who." Del stared at Rick, their eyes keeping locked on each other. She wanted to scream it. She knew it. She knew it would go wrong. She knew none of them should attack the compound. "Don't you, Rick?"

His head cocked as he threw open the back doors, helping Maggie climb out. The sun was lowering fast. Goosebumps began to creep on her skin. It was all happening, and there was nothing she could do.

"Let's go," Rick snapped.
