-Start of Chapter 31-

"Not a single scratch on Jia."

Heeseung gulps and nods. I sigh quickly letting go of his collar, feeling a pang of guilt, "Sorry..."

Heeseung shakes his head "No, no its fine. There is a lot going on and it's normal to get frustrated easily." he reassures me, his voice gentle.

I nod apologetically. 

Heeseung's expression quickly turns serious again. "You need to go now! We can't waste any more time!" he urges, his tone urgent.

"But where?!"

Heeseung points to a door "There. He'll be just outside for you."

I stare at him, puzzled. "He? Who?"

Heeseung's lips curl into a playful grin. "Who else?" he teases, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Your boyfriend."

A blush creeps up my cheeks as I realize who Heeseung is referring to. My heart aches at the thought of him, and I can't help but feel a pang of longing.

"Yah! He is NOT my boyfriend!" I protest, flustered.

Heeseung rolls his eyes as he slowly proceed to opening Jia's last shackle. "Yeah yeah. That's  why you kiss him on your bed in the middle of the night!"

"Omg! How the fuck do you know that?!?! Have you been stalking me?!?!" I exclaim, flustered.

Heeseung's eyes widen, "Wait! So it is true that you were kissing him on your BED?!?!"

"Yah!! Not like THAT!! Aishh!"

I'm digging my own grave at this rate.

"Yeahh yeahh" he rolls his eyes with a smirk, "Whatever you say Lady Y/N"

I smack it arm, "Yah! Lee Heeseung, aren't you supposed to be helping me escape?!?!"

Heeseung shrugs nonchalantly, "Well, I was trying to help you by telling you your boyfriend is outside. But no, you start a pointless argument, and now you're wasting time."  he quips with a grin.

I shoot him a glare and he laughs.

His laughter suddenly stops and his soft eyes suddenly turn cold, gazing at something behind me.

I look back. In the distance, endless numbers of figures can be seen, hiding in the darkness, their footsteps, barely echoing every time they move.

I turn back and Heeseung's voice drops to a deadly whisper, "Y/N, go now and do not look back. Whatever happens I'll take care of it."

I swallow hard, a new fear rising within me. "But..."

Heeseung glares at him, "Y/N! Go now!!"

Without thinking for another moment, I run towards the door. It's open. I look down to see a broken lock on the ground. Heeseung must've come through this down. How did I not hear him?

My breathing quickens as I hear groans and swords clashing from inside. Then a sudden scream. I gasp. My feet automatically turn to dash back. But I stop myself. Heeseung said not to look back... I trust him.

I run outside. But I only find myself on an empty street at the back of the castle. There is no one!

Still hidden in the darkness, I look around, straining my eyes and ears.
