~short ch but i dont care.~
-Start of Chapter 87-
The world is dark an heavy, pressing down on me like a suffocating weight. But through the haze, something pulls me back - a desperate voice, trembling, cutting through the voice.
"N-Noona! Noona, wake up!"
Riki's frantic cries pull me from the abyss, and with every gasp my consciousness flickers back to life. My body feels heavy, every part aching, but I become faintly aware of the trembling arms wrapped around me.
I can feel his hands, trembling as they brush damp strands of hair from my face, his voice rising with desperation.
"Y/N, come on, wake up! Please—wake up!" Yeonjun's voice is vulnerable, shaking with panic as he holds me close. "Open your eyes!"
My body feels distant, heavy, as if it doesn't belong to me. I try to lift my hand, to signal that I'm still here, but nothing moves. My breath catches, and a sharp cough tears through me, the taste of blood flooding my mouth again.
Another cough wracks my chest, and this time, blackness claws at the edges of my vision. The sound of rushing footsteps reaches me just as Yeonjun lets out a startled gasp.
I feel my head leave his lap, the sudden shift making the world tilt. Arms, unfamiliar and strong, slip beneath me, lifting me effortlessly from the wet ground.
The warmth is gone, replaced by an unyielding firmness. The rain pours relentlessly, cold droplets soaking through my clothes as I'm cradled in a new, unfamiliar hold.
"Move aside" a cold, clipped voice orders.
Jungwon.
My head lolls to the side, the rain stinging my skin, but I can feel the tension in his grip—the rigidness of someone who isn't used to this, who doesn't want to care but can't seem to stop himself.
"Give her to me!" Yeonjun protests, his voice sharp with anger.
"Stay out of my way" Jungwon snaps, his tone colder than the rain. "She's bleeding too much. We don't have time."
I try to focus, to make sense of his words, but my vision swims again. The tightness in my chest returns with a vengeance, and I cough violently, more blood staining my lips.
"Y/N—!" Yeonjun's voice fades as the sound of my own laboured breathing fills my ears.
I try to open my eyes, to see the face of the person carrying me. For a moment, my vision clears, just enough for me to glimpse the face above me.
Cat-like eyes, sharp and piercing, that hold an intense, unreadable gaze. His features are striking in their precision—the sharp line of his jaw, the delicate curve of his nose, and the fierce determination burning in those feline eyes. Eyes that glint like a predator's, framed by dark, rain-slicked hair.
Jungwon's expression is unreadable, but his jaw is set, his lips pressed into a thin line. There's something in his eyes—a flicker of concern buried beneath the cold detachment.
"W-what..." I rasp, the word barely audible as another wave of pain grips me.
"Don't speak" Jungwon says tersely, his voice low but steady. His arms tighten around me, as if daring me to defy him.
Blood spills from my lips again, staining his shirt, but he doesn't flinch. His movements are deliberate, his grip unyielding as he steps over the wet ground with precision. His expression remains unreadable, but there's a fire in his eyes, one that refuses to waver.
