-Start of Chapter 66-

Sunghoon's POV

The door clicks shut softly behind me as I step into the hallway, a heavy sigh escaping my lips. Well, I really screwed this up. I rub my face, the weight of Y/N's words still pressing down on me. I can feel the sting of every accusation, every ounce of disappointment and fury she threw my way—and every bit of it is deserved.

I'm not sure how long I stand there, trying to wrap my mind around the mountain I now have to climb. If I'm going to fix this, it has to be now. But how?

Lost in thought, I nearly jump when I catch movement from the corner of my eye. Mrs. Kim stands a little ways down the hall, her hands clasped in front of her, her expression as steady and calm as ever. Still, there's a question in her eyes—a motherly concern that only makes my guilt grow heavier.

"Mrs. Kim." I murmur, bowing slightly, trying to find the words to thank her for what she did.

She inclines her head, her gaze soft. "Sir Sunghoon, forgive me if I'm intruding on matters that aren't my own." Her voice is gentle, laced with the wisdom that only comes from watching over this household for as long as she has. "But... how is Miss Y/N? Has her anger eased?"

I exhale slowly, glancing back at the door as if Y/N's fiery words might come flying through it again. "Not... quite" I admit, struggling with how to put it. "But I think... I think she'll let me try to make it right."

Mrs. Kim's face softens into a small, approving smile. "She has a fierce spirit, that one. But also a kind heart. And for that, Sir Sunghoon, you're fortunate."

"I know, Mrs. Kim" I say, swallowing the knot of guilt tightening in my chest. "Thank you for helping me, for convincing her to talk to me." I hesitate, shifting my weight from one foot to the other, feeling more like a scolded child than a noble. "If I may... could you give me some advice?" I pause, almost embarrassed. "How... how can I win her back?"

Mrs. Kim's smile deepens, and she steps closer. "Winning back a heart is like tending to a garden, Sir Sunghoon. You have to nurture it, give it time, and never let it feel neglected."

I nod slowly, absorbing her words. She continues, her voice like a soothing balm, "Miss Y/N is hurt, not just by your actions but by the silence you kept. Speak to her from the heart. Let her see the sincerity in your words. And most of all, show her patience—just as you would with a frightened creature."

I manage a small smile, grateful for her wisdom. "You make it sound simple."

Mrs. Kim chuckles softly. "Simple, yes—but not easy. And don't let that frighten you. A heart worth winning back rarely comes without a little challenge."

~~~~~
Okay... treat it like a garden... I repeat Mrs. Kim's words in my head, trying to grasp the meaning. Nurture it, give it time, don't let it feel neglected...
Wait—am I supposed to water her or something? I frown, glancing toward my hands as if I might suddenly sprout gardening tools. I don't think dumping a bucket of water on Y/N's head will help me win her back...
