~This is mostly a filler ch tbh. But whateverrrr~
-Start of Chapter 55-
The flicker of shadows catches my attention, just at the edge of my vision. The dim light from the candles isn't enough to chase away the strange, haunting images that begin to fill my mind. The Blackwood Forest. The full moon hanging low in the sky, casting an eerie silver light over the towering trees. I can almost hear the rustling of leaves, feel the cold breath of the wind. Then, just as suddenly, the vision is gone, like smoke dissolving into the air.
I blink, the room coming back into focus. The others are chatting around me, but their words seem muffled, distant. I shake my head, forcing myself to concentrate.
I can't tell anyone. Not even my brothers.
The visions started a few days ago—always the same flashes of the Blackwood Forest under the full moon. Each time they feel more real, more vivid, like something—or someone—is trying to show me what's waiting for us in those woods. But no one else can know. They'd think I'm losing it, that the stress is getting to me.
"You alright?" Yeonjun's voice cuts through my thoughts. He's watching me closely, his expression unreadable. "You've been quiet."
I force a smile, brushing a stray hair out of my face. "I'm fine, just tired."
Yeonjun doesn't look convinced, but he doesn't push it. He turns his attention back to the conversation, but I can feel his concern hanging in the air. He's been like this ever since we started planning this trip. Always watching, always hovering near me, like he's waiting for something to go wrong.
"You sure you're up for this?" Yeonjun asks quietly, leaning in so the others won't hear. His tone is soft, but there's an edge of worry he can't hide. "Going to Elaria?"
"I can handle it" I say, trying to sound confident. But the truth is, I'm not sure how much longer I can keep ignoring the visions. They're becoming more frequent and harder to shake off.
"Let me know if something's bothering you, Y/N. I mean it." His voice is barely above a whisper, but there's a quiet intensity behind it.

Later that night, I lie awake, staring at the ceiling. Every time I close my eyes, the flashes come back—the trees closing in, the howl of the wind, the full moon almost glowing unnaturally bright. But this time, I see something else—a figure. Someone standing at the edge of the woods, their face hidden in shadow.
I bolt upright, heart pounding. It feels too real this time. More than just a vision—it's a warning.
My breath comes out shaky, and I clench my hands into fists. I can't ignore this anymore. I have to figure out what it means, but... how? I glance over at Yeonjun, his figure slumped in the chair across the room. He stayed here tonight, watching over me like he always does.
But he can't protect me from this. No one can.
~~~~~~~
"You've barely touched your food." Yeonjun comments the next morning, his voice calm but his eyes sharp. He's been keeping an even closer eye on me lately.
I hate it. I hate how he can see through me so easily.
"I'm fine." I mumble, forcing myself to take another bite.
"You keep saying that, but I don't believe you." His tone is firmer now, and I can feel his gaze burning into me. "If something's going on, you can tell me. I'm not going to let anything happen to you."
