-Start of Chapter 36-

With a voice like that of a deadly siren, she whispers just two words -

"...Dark blood..."

Dark blood?... 

"What's that?!?" I ask, trembling with pain.

She just laughs, her chilling voice echoing through the forest.

 I ask, my voice cold "What do you want fro-"

!*cough*! *cough*!

Blood spills onto the forest floor, mingling with the shadows cast by the trees, I cough up more and more, each convulsion wracking my body with agonizing pain. It feels like I'm coughing up my own life essence, helpless and powerless.

I struggle to maintain consciousness, my vision swimming with darkness as I lie there, feeling life slowly slipping away from me. The pain is overwhelming, consuming me from the inside out, leaving me feeling hollow and empty.

Sunghoon's distant voice calls out to me, a faint glimmer of hope in the darkness that threatens to engulf me. But I'm too far gone, too lost in the grip of death's cold embrace to reach out to him.

As I lie there, the assassin closes her mask, obscuring her terrifying visage once more before disappearing into the enveloping darkness. It's as if she was never there, leaving me alone with my pain and despair.

I feel myself drifting away, my consciousness fading into the abyss as the last vestiges of life slip through my fingers.

Sunghoon's voice breaks through the haze, calling out, "My Lady!!!"

I feel his presence beside me, his hands pressing down around the wound.

He's panicking, his voice trembling with fear and desperation as he asks who did this to me. But I'm too weak to answer, too consumed by pain and exhaustion.

Suddenly, I scream in agony as Sunghoon applies pressure to stop the bleeding. Tears blur my vision as I hear the sound of fabric tearing, followed by the same searing pain around the arrow still embedded in my stomach. I scream again, the sound muffled by the blood filling my mouth. 

Through the haze of pain, I hear Sunghoon's voice again. "We have to go now."

Pain courses through every inch of my body as Sunghoon picks me up, my senses dulled by the overwhelming agony. 

Everything fades away...
