-Start of Chapter 34-
It's life or death now...
The first assailant lunges towards me, his blade gleaming with lethal precision, I meet his attack head-on. He's a brute, each movement was calculated, every strike executed with meticulous perfection. Relying on sheer strength rather than finesse. I sidestep his heavy swing, using his momentum against him to deliver a swift strike to his exposed flank. He grunts in surprise, staggered by the unexpected blow, giving me an opening to press my advantage and disarm him with a well-timed twist of my dagger.
The second opponent approaches with a fluid grace, his movements calculated and precise. He's a skilled duellist, his blade dancing with deadly elegance as he seeks to out smart me. I meet his strikes with equal precision, engaging him in a deadly dance of blades that tests my reflexes to their limit. With a swift feint, I manage to catch him off guard, disarming him with a lightning-fast strike that leaves him reeling.
The third assassin advances cautiously, his eyes narrowed in concentration as he assesses my defences. He's a strategist, always one step ahead, his attacks calculated to exploit any weakness he can find. I stay on the defensive, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. When it comes, I seize it with both hands, countering his next move with a devastating blow that sends him crashing to the forest floor.
The fourth foe comes at me with a wild ferocity, his attacks fuelled by primal rage. He's reckless, his swings wild and unpredictable as he seeks to overwhelm me with sheer force. I dance around his strikes, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. With a well-timed sidestep, I evade his next blow, delivering a powerful counterstrike that sends him sprawling to the ground.
The fifth opponent proves to be a master of deception, his movements fluid and unpredictable. He's a trickster, relying on feints and misdirection to keep me off balance. I watch him carefully, waiting for the signs of his next attack. When it comes, I'm ready, countering his feint with a lightning-fast strike that catches him off guard and sends him reeling.
The sixth assailant is a brawler, relying on brute strength and sheer aggression to overwhelm his opponents. He charges at me with reckless abandon, his attacks coming fast and furious. I meet his blows with a combination of speed and precision, deflecting his strikes with ease before delivering a swift counterstrike that leaves him sprawled on the forest floor.
The seventh opponent is a master of stealth, his movements silent and deadly as he stalks through the shadows. He's a predator, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. I watch him carefully, my senses on high alert as I wait for him to reveal himself. When he does, I'm ready, meeting his attack with a lightning-fast strike that sends him reeling.
I pant, breathless. Who the fuck are these 8?!?!? How are they still fighting?!?! I feel like I'm gonna pass out any moment now...
My fatigue yet cautious eyes scan through the darkness. Where's the last one?...
I remember... She is the only girl I saw today... But its hard to recognise anyone in this darkness especially when all of their faces are covered.
"My Lady, I saw some assassins over there. I'm going to go there. Stay here and keep an eye out" Sunghoon pants and I nod.
I collapse to the floor and Sunghoon kneels down next to me worried, "My Lady! Are you okay?! You have many wounds! We have to go now! We can't waste another second." he urges, his voice filled with urgency.
I raise a hand and exhale, "It's okay Sunghoon... Don't need to worry about me. I'm just a bit tired. You go fight the rest off. I'll rest for a while..."
