-Start of Chapter 91-
Aera settles into the chair beside me, her gentle presence bringing an air of calm to the room. She looks at me with a mix of concern and curiosity, her hands folded neatly in her lap. "How are you feeling now? Your health... is everything alright?"
I nod, offering her a small smile. "I'm okay. Better than before, at least."
Her brows knit together, and she leans forward slightly. "And what about your blood?"
I sigh, my fingers fidgeting with the edge of the blanket draped over my lap. "Jay thinks it might be some kind of poison" I admit softly.
Aera's eyes widen, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Poison? But how? Who would do such a thing?"
"We're not entirely sure," I reply. "It's just a theory for now, but it fits with everything that's been happening."
She reaches out and places a reassuring hand on mine, her touch warm and comforting. "I hope you get answers soon," she says earnestly. "You've been through so much."
"Thanks, unnie." I squeeze her hand lightly, grateful for her concern.
Her expression shifts then, brightening suddenly. "Why don't you stay here until next week?" she suggests, her tone almost too casual.
I blink at her in confusion. "Why?"
Aera's face lights up with a radiant smile, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Because Suho and I are getting married!"
My jaw drops as realization dawns. "Ohhh, so that's why there were so many decorations around!"
She chuckles softly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Exactly."
"Why didn't you tell me before?" I ask, my tone a mix of surprise and mild exasperation. "I mean, I would've loved to know earlier!"
Aera shrugs lightly, her smile turning sheepish. "I thought I'd invite you all after you were done with what you came here for. I didn't want to distract you."
Shaking my head, I let out a small laugh. "You're unbelievable. But congratulations! I'm so happy for you both."
I cross my arms, pouting slightly. "Ughhh, if you had told me earlier, I would've brought better dresses with me. Now I'll look like a mess next to all the fancy guests."
Aera chuckles, her laughter soft and melodious. "Don't worry about that," she says, her tone teasing. "I'll send some of the best tailors in the country. They'll bring a selection of dresses, and you can choose whatever you like."
"Really?" I blink at her, my pout melting into an excited grin. "You're serious?"
"Of course," she replies with a warm smile. "You're family. I want you to look and feel your best."
I nod. "Alright, deal. But if I end up stealing the spotlight from you, don't blame me!" I joke
Aera laughs again, shaking her head. "Oh, please. I'm counting on it."
Her lightheartedness eases the tension lingering in the room, and I find myself relaxing. "Thank you, unnie. This will be my first time attending a wedding. It's going to be amazing."
"It will be," she assures me, her smile glowing with happiness. "I'm just glad you'll be here to celebrate with us."
"I wouldn't miss it for the world."
