-Start of Chapter 132-
The cave falls into a suffocating silence, broken only by the drip of blood against stone. The masked woman stands still, veil now lowered, her smirk curling in the dim light. Her eyes — the same shade as theirs — burn with a cold, unrecognisable fire.
Every prince freezes. Even the sound of their laboured breathing feels too loud.
Heeseung's voice comes out hoarse, disbelieving
"Y–you... you're supposed to be... dead." His grip tightens on his wounded shoulder, knuckles paling. "How... how is this possible?"
Jungwon's lips part, but no words come. Jay's flickering form fully reappears, his invisibility gone entirely, his gaze locked on her face like it's a nightmare he's woken into.
Sunghoon's eyes widen, the pain in his abdomen momentarily forgotten. "No... this—this can't be..."
The woman only tilts her head, her smile never reaching her eyes.
Y/N, still half-curled on the bloodstained floor, stares between them all.
"...Sister?" Her voice cracks, the word foreign on her tongue.
She looks at each of them in turn, as though searching for someone to explain. "You all... had a sister?"
No one answers at first. The air feels thick with something unspoken — something ancient.
Her smirk deepens, her shadow stretching long and crooked against the crystal walls. Her crimson eyes drift to Y/N, lingering as though drinking in her confusion.
"Oh... poor little thing." she breathes, her tone silk over steel. "They did not tell you a single word, did they? But then again, I'm probably the last person they expected"
Her steps are slow, deliberate, each heel clicking against the crystal floor like a clock counting down. "Allow me, then... to introduce myself. Jung Seorin." she says, with a mocking bow, the motion sharp and calculated. "The only true daughter of the King. The sole heir by right and by blood. The one who should have worn the crown... yet the world saw fit to deny me."
She straightens, tilting her head, voice dripping venom beneath its velvet lilt. "He despised me, you see. To call me 'daughter' was poison on his tongue. And instead of raising his own flesh and blood to power, he turned his gaze upon seven lowly commoners — street rats dressed in fine silks — and placed them in my father's house. In my place. As my brothers."
Her gaze sweeps over the princes, lingering on each of them in turn like a blade across a throat. "They basked in the warmth that was mine. Laughed in halls that belonged to me. Ate at tables that should have been mine to command."
Jay's voice cuts through the oppressive air, low but edged like a blade.
"What do you want?"
Seorin's lips part in a laugh — soft at first, then curling cruel at the edges. "Something you wish for too." she murmurs, her gaze darting briefly to the blood pooling at their feet. "But other than that? Nothing... except to see you all writhe in pain."
Her eyes glitter with malice. "You brought me down in my own palace. Now, I'll see you dragged to the very pit I was thrown into. I want revenge, and nothing less."
Heeseung's voice rumbles from behind bloodied teeth. "So it was all your men? Everyone who died... all those people we lost?"
She runs her fingers through her silver hair, the smirk on her lips like a wound that won't heal. "Every life, every scream, every drop of blood spilled — all happened by my orders."
