-Start of Chapter 104-

The library is silent. The only sound is our uneven breathing, the flickering of candlelight casting restless shadows against the towering bookshelves.

Jungwon stares at me, still leaning against the opposite shelf, his expression a mixture of shock and suspicion.

He says, his voice lower now, but no less demanding. "What was that?"

I swallow. My throat is dry. My head is still pounding.

I don't know how to explain it.

"I..." My voice wavers as I force myself to meet his gaze. "They started a weeks or two after the Grand Ball."

Jungwon's sharp eyes flicker with something unreadable. He doesn't interrupt, waiting for me to continue.

"They were always like this," I murmur, rubbing my temples. "These flashes of images... They blind my vision. It's all I can focus on."

I clench my fists, trying to put into words something I barely understand myself. "I—I don't know what they are. But they're always right."

Jungwon frowns. "Right?"

I nod. "The images... they don't make sense at first. Just random pictures thrown together. But somehow... it's like I know what they're trying to say." I glance at him hesitantly. "In the beginning, I couldn't understand them at all. But now... now they're starting to come together."

Jungwon narrows his eyes. "Is that how you knew the wolves were coming in the Blackwood Forest?"

I hesitate.

Then, slowly, I nod.

Jungwon's piercing stare lingers, his sharp eyes flickering with unease. He is still against the opposite shelf, his hands still gripping the wood as if trying to hold himself together.

"But how did you see them?" I finally ask, breaking the silence.

Jungwon exhales slowly, his hands letting go of the wooden shelf, "I don't know" he admits, shaking his head, "It... it seemed to be triggered by contact." he hesitates "Did you cause it?"

I shake my head, "I don't think so. It's never happened with anyone else before" My gaze sharpens "Jungwon... I think its you."

His brows furrow. "Me?"

I nod, "Your ability lets you read into people - but only their emotions." I say, hesitantly. "What if... you power is evolving? What is, instead of you just sensing other's feelings, you can now see what's causing those emotions?"

"No. That can't be. We can't just change powers" Jungwon's jaw tightens.

I purse my lips. "But I remember Jay saying that the more you practise your power, the stronger it gets" I meet his eyes steady. "What if your emotional reading was not the full extent of your power, just the beginning? What if you can do more?"

Jungwon is silent. His eyes gaze low to his hands, his expression carefully blank, but I can see the gears turning in his head.

Taking a deep breathe I mutter "Jungwon... try to get into my mind."

His head snaps up "What?"

"My memories" I clarify, louder "Yesterday, my childhood - anything. Let's test this theory out"
