CHAPTER 1: Clubhouse
I was busy typing on my laptop when I glanced at the office door, which suddenly opened, and my best friend/secretary, Aeun Tsui, entered and walked towards me.
She gave me a playful smile before starting to speak, "I have good news, Eli." Then, she placed a folder on my desk, capturing my attention.
"What is this for?" I asked, confused.
"Those are the documents provided by the owner of the museum you purchased. Now, it will be easier for you to relocate to the location where you plan to display your new collections." She paused, taking a deep breath. "Isn't it surprising?" She then grinned.
Sandali akong napakurap, hindi inaasahan ang mga sinabi niya sa'king harapan.
Tama ba ako ng narinig?

Ibig sabihin sumuko rin ang matandang negosyante na 'yon at tinanggap na ang inaalok ko?

Mabilis kong kinuha ang folder na inilapag ni Aeun at nakangising binuksan 'yon. Hindi nga siya nag bibiro! Pinaubaya na nga sa'kin ang lugar na 'yon!
OH MY GOSH!!
"Hey, Eli? Are you listening?" I came to my senses and gaze at her again, "Wala ka na naman ba sa sarili mo?" She confusingly asked, frowning.
"Ah! Nagulat lang ako.." ngising saad ko, "Hindi ko inaasahan na bibigay rin pala sa offer ko ang matandang 'yon." Dagdag ko pa at napasandal sa'king swivel chair.
"Well, actually, that's what I thought too. In the past, he even threw some dirty water at us, and now this? I want to doubt him, but maybe he really needs money, that's why he agreed to your offer. Good for you, Eli; you've wanted that for a long time, right?" She shrugged after uttering those words.
Hindi na ako sumagot, muli ko na lang pinagmasdan ang papeles na hawak ko at wala sa sariling kinilig.

She raised her brow, nag tataka sa biglang pag aaya ko.
"Come on, Ae! Don't be KJ! We need to celebrate!" Pangungumbinsi ko pa,
"Fine! Basta h'wag kang mag papaka-lasing naiintindihan mo?" She gave me a warning look.
"Of course!"
"Okay, then. It's settled." Pagtatapos niya sa usapan naming dalawa.
