Napatingin ako sa'king wristwatch, eleven o'clock na ng gabi. Napabuntong hininga ako at tiningnan si Jacob na may kausap sa kanyang phone. Hindi na rin kami umiinom, nilibot ko ng tingin ang paligid. Tatlong oras na kaming nandito, pero hindi ko parin napapansin si Haze. Busy kaya siya? Mabilis kong kinuha ang phone ko para sana mag message sa kanya nang mapansin ko ang dami ng messages at missed calls ni Bryle. Napabuntong hininga ako bago isa isang binasa ang mga messages niya.

Sungit: Wife, where are you?
Sungit: Wife?
Sungit: Wife, please reply..
Sungit: Wife, where are you? Please tell me..
Sungit: Wife?
Sungit: Fuck! Wife! Tell me where are you?
Sungit: Wife, hey!
Sungit: Are you ignoring me?
Sungit: Wife are we good? Please answer my goddamn calls!
Sungit: Where the fuck are you?
Sungit: Wife? What the fuck? Where are you? You're not here at the resort anymore, right? I can't see you. I've been trying to call you earlier, aren't you going to answer me?
Sungit: Wife, we're already at the house, but you're not here yet. Where are you!?

Hinahanap niya ako..
Muli akong napabuntong hininga bago alisin ang atensyon kay Bryle, nag message ako kay Haze at mabilis naman itong nag response. Sinabi n'yang pupuntahan niya ako.
"Eli, can I excuse myself?" Napatingin ako kay Jacob nang sabihin niya yun. "I need to go somewhere, there's an emergency."
"Oh! It's okay! Go ahead. I'll just wait for my friend to come up here at our spot."
"Alright! take care here, okay? Let's chill again next time." Nakangiting sabi ni Jacob na tinanguan ko naman.
"Sure, Jacob." Kumaway ako sa kanya at pinanood s'yang umalis hanggang sa hindi ko na nga siya makita.
Napasandal ako sa kinauupuan ko at tumitig sa kisame. Gusto ko na umuwi, pero parang ayoko pa. Siguradong hinihintay ako ni Bryle ngayon, pero ayoko parin umuwi. Hindi ko alam kung bakit parang pinipigilan ako ng sarili kong umuwi.
