After another month, on a Thursday afternoon, you were sitting down again with your mom and your team in the "end of the month appointment". You were definitely better, but still struggled some days more than others. Yet you were tired of going to the treatment center, even if it was just twice a week, every time your mom picked you up to drive you to the center you felt like you were giving up on other stuff, such as friends or school, normal teenage stuff. You were picking at the skin around your nails, you had no idea of what the doctors were going to say because just 2 days before you cried over an egg roll you were served at the program; fried food was still a huge fear food you hadn't overcome until now.

- "How are you feeling Elizabeth? What are your thoughts on this last month?" Dr. Maine asked.

- "Erm... I'm feeling okay. I think I've been less anxious about everything this past month. Leaving aside the egg roll incident, I'm feeling great, I'm trying to be more compassionate to myself. Sometimes getting used to my new body is tough but I'm trying to stick to the meal plan and trust that I won't feel this uncomfortable forever" you replied.

- "I agree. You seem less anxious, and you are really working on being kinder to yourself" Dr. Maine said.

- "Me too. I know that it's not easy, and definitely not your favorite thing to do, but you've been doing a great job tolerating discomfort and uncomfortable feelings" Dr. Pine claimed.

- "Thanks" you replied blushing and squeezing your mom's hand, still not sure of what to expect.

- "I'd like to join you -Dr. Sach said looking the other two doctors- you are doing really well. About the egg roll incident, I believe that overcoming fear foods is a gradual process, don't worry about it. I hope that one day you will be able to enjoy egg rolls again. Nutritionally speaking, you are maintaining a healthy weight, eating various foods and taking care of yourself"

- "We think you're ready to be discharged, Elizabeth" Dr. Maine added with a wide smile.

- "Really?" You said looking the doctors and then at your mom. Andrea's eyes filled with tears.

- "Yeah. You need to come weekly for therapy, either with me or with Dr. Pine, and every two weeks for a weight in with Dr. Sach, but you're ready. What do you think?" Dr. Maine answered.

- "OMG YES! YES! THANK YOU!" You said hugging your mom.

- "You need to keep challenging yourself, alright? Exposing yourself to social situations that might make you feel anxious such as parties and going out with your friends; wearing clothes that you like even if your brain tells you that you shouldn't; eating fear foods, etc. You need to keep fighting that sick voice" Dr. Maine claimed.

- "I will. Thank you so much"

- "I'm so proud of you, darling" Andrea said hugging you. - "When's her last day on the program?"

- "Let me check" Dr. Maine said looking at her computer and then she added: - "Next Tuesday"

- "But it's Taylor's birthday mom. I want to spend the whole day with her. Can I come on Wednesday?" you asked the doctors.

- "Normally we wouldn't have a problem, but we'd like your last group therapy to be with the other patients that come on Tuesdays, we told them that you were getting discharged and they're planning a surprise for you" Dr. Pine said.

- "You'll be with her in the morning and then at night. She's having dinner with her closer friends and family, it's okay" Andrea said.

- "Fine" you replied sharply. You found cute that they were planning something for you, but you also wanted to spend the whole day with Taylor.
