Never really had a chance

You woke up with bloodshot eyes from crying last night. You walked downstairs, exhausted from everything but put on your usual happy face and prepared to greet your mom and sister. Unknown to you, they knew that your smile was fake as hell, Andrea had decided she couldn't take it anymore and that you couldn't either, she had called the treatment center to tell them everything and ask them for an urgent appointment, but with what your mom told them, they decided that you needed to go either to the specialized clinic or to hospital. After lots of tears and conversations with Taylor, they decided that they were going to take you to the clinic first, see what they had to say. With what she told them they advised an immediate admission, depending on how your overall health was (it was either there or in the hospital, but you were going inpatient). Andrea packed a suitcase with some of your belongings, not much because she didn't want you to notice and alarm or catch what was going to happen.

You had half of breakfast, and they didn't push you to eat the rest. They didn't even give you a supplement. You were surprised, but your head told you to take it as a win and an opportunity to restrict. Little did you know what was going to happen. Taylor said she wanted to show your mom and you the restyling she had been working on in the studio, so you got ready and hopped in the car, a bit thrilled because you thought that you were going to miss morning snack since you were not home. Of course, mom and Taylor could still have something packed for you to have, but the sole thought of thinking that they might've forgotten was exciting, yet a bit annoying. Lately you have been noticing something strange happening you didn't want to eat, but when you did get hungry you would secretly hope that you were going to be forced to eat and when you weren't you would get mad about it because you wanted to eat, you just couldn't allow yourself to accept it or do it. Everything was so fucked up.

You decided to close your eyes for some seconds, but you ended up falling asleep. You were woken up by Taylor.

- "Wake up baby, come on"

You got off the car still half asleep without even realizing where you were until some seconds later you did, and your eyes opened wide in terror:

- "No! What are we doing here?"

Taylor looked at you with sad eyes and your mom held your hand: - "It's going to be okay, darling. We need to do this"

- "No. We do not! I'm trying. I'm really trying"

- "Let's just see what they say, baby" Taylor said.

You followed your mom while walking with Taylor and recalled that time you threw yourself to the ground when she forced you to go to the outpatient treatment center. You could do the same right now, but honestly you didn't have the energy to do it. You were terrified but also exhausted from the war going in your head. You walked inside and while Andrea checked you in, you sat in the tiny front waiting room with Taylor, it only had two seats.

You suddenly realized something and turned to your big sister: - "But Tay, why are we here and not in the outpatient treatment center? Why do we need to come to the specialized clinic?"

Taylor was thinking about what to answer to that without causing you a panic attack when your mom came back with Dr. Wilson.

- "Hello Elizabeth, how are you?"

- "Hi" you replied looking away, frozen and not being able to answer the question.

- "Shall we talk?" The doctor questioned and you looked terrified at your mom.

- "It's okay darling, go with her" Andrea said encouragingly.

You stood up and followed the doctor. She led you to a small office and you sat down in front of her.
