New Announcers

The next day, Himari had to wake up early to go with her dad to the gym where the opening ceremony would be. She had already told Takeda and the girls. She also left some nausea medication and onigiris for the team to have before the opening ceremony.

"Morning Mari. How are you?"

"Exhausted. Why do I have to go early?"

Daisuke looked at his daughter with a look of disbelief, "You volunteered to help, plus you and the others get to do something fun this year."

Himari looked at her dad before her eyes widened, "You mean it?!"

"Yup."

Himari smiled, excited for the day ahead. She met up with her friends and they walked around looking at everything before the teams started arriving.

"Let's go there now," Koji said and everyone followed.

When the teams were lined up for the ceremony, Aiko tapped on the mic and smiled,

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your patience. We will now begin the opening ceremonies for the Haruko National High School Volleyball Championship. I will now ask you to direct your attention to the main floor."

Aiko passed the mic to Kouske, "The championship flags are now entering the stadium. Please welcome the teams representing each of forty-seven prefectures of Japan."

Kouske passed the mic to Daiki, who named a few of the prefectures before he passed it to Koji and so on.

Finally Himari got the mic, "Miyagi prefecture representatives; boys: Karasuno High School. Girls: Niiyama Girls' High School."

The team was surprised to hear Himari announcing them, but it settled their nerves and they became more confident. Ukai chuckled from the side,

"That kid really knows how to keep the boys from losing their cool."

"The games will be starting soon, so to all the teams: do your best!"

Himari placed the mic back on its stand and leaned back. Daiki pushed her and she glared at him.

"Shouldn't you be getting back to your team?"

Himari jumped up quickly and ran to her team. She smiled at them and waved,

"You guys looked so nervous!"

They smiled at her and Tanaka immediately put her in a headlock. She squirmed, but he just ruffled her hair.

"We didn't know you would be announcing us!"

Himari smiled, "That's not all, but it's a surprise."

Ukai looked at the time before waving everyone over, "Let's go, we need to get some practice in."

"I'm going to have to leave after an hour. Don't worry though, I'll see you during the game."

Takeda nodded and the team went out and into the bus. Himari tried to keep herself calm by counting to one hundred, but the ten minutes felt like hours.

"Alright, we're here. Hurry and get to practicing, we don't have much time," Ukai said.

The boys quickly got out and started practicing. They practiced serves, receives, and just some fine tuning on some of their plays.

Like she said, Himari left after an hour and met up with her friends.

"Hey guys, Daiki and I are doing the commentary for Karasuno and Tsubakihara?"

They nodded and the two headed to where the commentators were sitting. The two commentators looked at them and stood up.

"Himari Nakamura and Daiki Hirayama?"
