Epilogue: Five Years Later

Himari woke up with a start, suddenly realizing what day it was. Hinata was arriving from Brazil and she was supposed to take him to the MSBY Black Jackals tryouts.

"Shoyo seriously had to arrive the day of the try outs? At least I still have a little time before he gets here."

It was a good thing Tadashi volunteered to pick him up from the airport and drop him off at Himari's apartment, because if Himari had to, Hinata would be waiting at the airport for a while.

"Maybe, I can just rest my eyes a little longer..."

Himari did not get to do that, because there was a loud knock. She groaned and got up from the bean bag chair. When she opened the door she was met with her two friends.

"Morning Mari!"

"Shoyo, why are you so excited so early?"

"Mari, it's eleven in the morning," Tadashi responded with a smile.

"Exactly, early."

Tadashi laughed before patting Hinata on the back, "Alright, I have some work to take care of. Do your best at the tryouts!"

"Thanks!"

Himari moved aside and let Hinata enter. She smiled at the fact that she was finally able to see him in person and not through a phone.

"Wow, it's pretty empty in here," Hinata commented.

Himari nodded, "Yup, all my stuff is already at Kenma's place. I was sleeping on that bean bag chair when you got here."

Hinata's eyes widened and he rushed to the beanbag and sat down. He snuggled into it and smiled,

"This is so comfy!"

Himari nodded, "You can have it if you want."

"Really?! Thanks!"

After a couple more seconds, Hinata sat up and looked at Himari,

"You're engaged, right?"

Himari smiled, "Well, technically Kenma and I are already married. We already did all the legal formalities and got our marriage certificate two months ago. The wedding we're having is technically just an after party. Our families insisted they throw it for us. They said something about how 'years of planning shouldn't go to waste', or something like that."

Hinata tilted his head, "Then why are you still in this apartment?"

"I'm handing my lease over to Yachi, because this apartment is closer to her work. She's moving in later today and I procrastinated on moving out."

Hinata laughed, "That sounds like you."

Himari smiled, "Says the person who asked me to do their homework the day it was due."

"Mari, that was high school! We're twenty-two!"

Himari waved him off, "Yeah, yeah. Now, go freshen up, I made a bento you can eat on the way."

Hinata and Himari took a cab to the training center where the tryouts were being held. When they arrived, Himari dragged Hinata with her as he finished the bento. Once they were inside, Himari waved to her friend who had become the assistant coach of the MSBY Black Jackals.

"Mari, I thought you guys wouldn't show!"

"Sorry Daiki, there was a lot of traffic."

Daiki shook his head and turned to Hinata, "It's nice to see you again, Hinata! Go get changed and warm up, the tryouts will start soon."

Hinata nodded and ran off. Himari sat down on the ground and sighed, exhausted from the day, even though it was only twelve in the afternoon.

"So, how's the preparations coming along?" Daiki asked.

Himari shrugged, "My family and Kenma's family have completely taken over. They update us and ask for our opinion on everything, but it seems like they have the general idea planned out."

Daiki nodded, "Well, at least things are going great. Have you picked out a dress yet?"

Himari nodded, "Yup! It's at my grandparents' place. I don't want Kenma to see it."

The two continued talking until all the players who were trying out arrived. Himari got up and watched the tryouts for a bit before getting ready to leave.

"Shoyo, I'm heading out. Will you be fine to get to Tadashi's on your own?"

Hinata looked up from where he was resting, "Yeah, I'll be fine. Thanks for dropping me here."

"No problem. Do your best, okay?"

Hinata smiled, "You know I always do."

Himari laughed, "That, I do know."

Kenma was streaming when he heard the door open.

"I'm back!"

Kenma immediately turned his camera and microphone off and hurried downstairs. Once he got there he saw Himari feeding the two cats they adopted a month prior.

"Mari, hi."

Himari stood up and smiled, "Hi, Kenma."

She walked towards him and placed a kiss on his cheek. He smiled and held her hand.

"Did Shoyo get back already?"

Himari nodded, "Yeah, he's at tryouts for MSBY."

Kenma chuckled, "He just got back and he's already playing. Why am I not surprised?"

Himari laughed and they began walking up the stairs. Once they got to their bedroom Himari immediately went to the bed and laid down.

"You're streaming, right? You can continue, I'm going to take a nap."

"Nah, I'm kinda tired too. I'll just end the stream and we can take a nap."

Kenma quickly ended his livestream and joined Himari in bed. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead.

"Love you."

"Love you too."
