How Do You Burn Water?

The next day, Himari and her friends were up way before the players. They had stayed up making training menus and plans, which they were very excited for.

As soon as the players walked in, Kageyama and Chigaya noticed Himari's smile and sighed.

"Oh no."

Hoshiumi, another player, looked at them confused, "What is it?"

"Mari's smiling, that's never good."

Himari heard and glared, "My smiles are always lovely!"

Kageyama snickered and Chigaya smiled.

"Sure, but whenever you're smiling, you're always planning something."

Himari smiled again, "I won't deny it, but it's for your own good. How else am I supposed to make sure you improve? Plus, we're not on the beach today, we're in an air conditioned building, it won't be that bad."

Well, Himari might've lied when she said it wouldn't be that bad. By the end of Himari and her friends' training session, the players were exhausted and lying on the ground trying to catch their breath.

"You guys are so dramatic," Koji said as he sat on the floor eating a chocolate bar.

"Tell me about it," Daiki said.

Himari handed out the water bottles with Hikari's help. They all watched as the players desperately chugged the bottles until they were empty.

"It wasn't that bad," Kouske muttered.

Adachi and Daisuke were laughing knowing that they were the reason that the players had to deal with the monster training.

"Guys, stand up and put your arms over your heads. After you're done being dramatic, we'll start the games."

"Games?" One of the players asked as he handed his water bottle back to Himari.

"Yup, we're going to be shuffling your positions. Daiki, toss me the marker."

The players cringed when they realized Himari had a cast on her right hand, but were surprised when she caught it with her left. She took the cap off with her mouth before turning towards the whiteboard that Adachi had wheeled in.

"Alright, Kageyama, you're going to play as a wing spiker."

"Hold on, I thought you were right handed?"

Himari shrugged, "I can write with both hands."

After Himari finished telling the first team their positions, Hikari told the second team theirs. Once Daisuke gave them the signal to start, the two groups began.

"Wow, Hoshiumi is pretty good," Daiki said.

"The next tiny giant, is what people are calling him."

The game lasted a while. Once they were done, Himari and her friends got up to go make lunch.

"You guys are really good. Keep it up," Aiko told them as they left the gym.

When they were gone, Atsumu sighed with a smile on his face.

"Do you guys think Mari will ever give me a chance?"

Chigaya and Kageyama immediately shook their heads. Atsumu frowned at their response.

"Why not? I'm good looking!"

Chigaya smiled, "Mari already has someone. Did you notice the bracelets on her wrist?"

"Yeah?"

"Well, her best friend chose the tiara charm that's on one of them, and she gave him a cat charm to put on his keychain. They've known each other since they were kids and they're kind of adorable together."
