It was early the next day and the Karasuno team was already up and ready. It was finally the day they had all been looking forward to.

"Alright guys, let's go! We can practice once we get there."

The team got onto the bus and eagerly sat down, ready to face their longtime rivals. Himari kicked her feet back and forth as she sat next to Yachi.

"Mari, are you excited?"

Himari turned to her friend with a big smile, "Yup! I can't wait to see who finally comes out on top."

Yachi nodded and looked out the window, "I'm glad you and Kiyoko convinced me to join."

"I'm glad too."

It didn't take long for them to finally arrive at the gymnasium. Once the bus stopped, they all got out and walked through the gates, where Nekoma was waiting for them.

"Kenma!" Himari exclaimed.

"Hi Mari, how are you?"

"Excited! Super excited!"

Kenma chuckled and nodded, "I'm kind of excited too."

"I can tell. You always smile more when you're excited," Himari said.

"I smile more when I'm with you," He replied back.

Himari laughed and was about to say something else when Hinata came up to them.

"Kenma!"

Himari smiled and left the two to talk while she went to her uncle.

"Tetsu!"

"Mari!"

Kuroo ruffled her hair and she swatted his hand away. He laughed and looked at her face closely.

"Are those dark circles? Are you sleeping well? What time do you sleep? Honestly, you and Kenma need to stop staying up late."

Himari gave him a deadpanned look before slapping his arm, "I'm sleeping fine. I was just excited for today."

"You're excited to lose, that's weird."

"Karasuno's going to win, for your information."

Kuroo shook his head, "No, no, Nekoma's going to win."

"Karasuno."

"Nekoma."

"Karasuno."

"Nekoma."

Kuroo and Himari would've gone all day if Coach Nekomata hadn't yelled at everyone to get in the gym.

"Karasuno," Himari said just loud enough for Kuroo to hear before they went with respective teams.

"I heard that!"

Yaku kicked Kuroo and scowled, "You're embarrassing us."

Himari laughed at Kuroo's grumpy face and followed her team in.

The two teams got everything set up and began warming up. Himari glanced at the stands and saw the large number of Nekoma students watching in the stands.

"Wow, I didn't expect so many people from Nekoma to come."

Kiyoko nodded as she stared at the stands. She then looked towards Karasuno's section and smiled,

"But we have our own supporters."

Himari smiled and nodded, "You're right."

Up in the stands, a girl with poofy brown hair narrowed her eyes at Himari. She had heard of the first year manager from her brother and she was a little worried about what that meant for Nekoma.

"Akane, who's that?" A girl next to her asked.

"Himari Nakamura. She's Kuroo's niece and the daughter of Daisuke Nakamura."

The girl next to her, Alisa Haiba, nodded, not really understanding.

"Who's Daisuke Nakamura?" She asked.

"He's the head coach for the Japan men's national volleyball team. He's kept them undefeated for years."

Alisa's eyes widened and she looked at the first year girl who was talking to the Karasuno players.

"Wow, we're going to have a tough time."

Down on the court, the players were in a huddle with Daichi in the center.

"Alright guys, we've finally made it, so forget all the losses we endured against Nekoma, because we're here to win and we will win."

"Yeah!"

Himari smiled as the players from both sides got into position on the court. Once the whistle sounded, Kageyama delivered a powerful serve that was received by Kai who sends it to Kenma. He sets the ball to Lev, but Karasuno is quick and puts up a block forcing him to spike to Noya. Kageyama gets the ball and sets it to Tanaka, but Yamamoto is quick and sends the ball a little too close to the net.

"They are so intense right off the bat. This game is going to be fun," Himari said as she watched Hinata score them a point.

"Well, they've been waiting for this match all season and I've been waiting for this match since I was in high school," Ukai said.

"That was twenty years ago?" Himari asked with a smile.

Ukai looked at her, "How old do you think I am?!"

"Forty, give or take."

"I'm twenty-six!"

"Wow, that's surprising."

Ukai huffed, but couldn't help the smile that made its way onto his face.

Himari was smiling as she watched Hinata challenge Kenma and the latter accepting the challenge.

"Kenma's getting serious. How fun," Himari said.

Nekoma looked towards Karasuno, a little wary of them. Himari looked at them with a competitive smile which Kenma returned before going back to his position.

Nekoma went for a synchronized attack which Karasuno returned, but was blocked by Kuroo. The third year middle blocker laughed and Daichi scowled.

The game continued and Kuroo forced Kageyama to make the first touch. Noya quickly set the ball to Asahi and got Karasuno a point.

"Wow, Noya's gotten really good at setting," Himari said.

As the game continued, Himari sighed. Everyone was so intense during the first set, but it was expected considering who they were playing.

"Tadashi, you're up," Himari said.

During Tadashi's second serve, Yaku received it. Kenma set to Fukunaga which Tsukishima saw and completely shut down the spike.

Himari narrowed her eyes at the players on Nekoma. She could see what they were doing, what he was doing.

Kenma was observing and analyzing Karasuno's offense. Once he had everything he needed, he would rip the wings right off the crows.

Even though Karasuno was in the lead, Himari was wary.

The game continued, and the ball went right above the net, forcing Kageyama and Lev to fight for the point. Fortunately, Kageyama was able to push it to the side, but Yamamoto received it.

"Kenma!" Yamamoto shouted.

Kenma ran and set the ball to Lev, who scored Nekoma a point. Some people were a bit shocked to see Kenma actually run, but Himari just liked to watch him play.

"Good job, Kenma!" Himari exclaimed with a smile.

Kenma smiled at her which his team saw and gave him a knowing look. He looked away with pink cheeks, but a small smile was still on his face.

"So cute," Yaku whispered to Kuroo who laughed and shook his head.

The game resumed and both teams went back and forth, tying each time. They began getting more intense again and eventually Nekoma was in the lead with 26 points.

During the last point of the first set, Kenma set the ball in a way that made it so nobody on Karasuno would get it in time.

With that, Nekoma took the first set.
