Taehyung POV
We'd spent the evening at the cafe, chatting and laughing with Y/n.
Hoseok had to leave abruptly after receiving a mysterious text.
"Girlfriend troubles," he'd muttered, his expression tense.
I'd nodded sympathetically, but wondered what was really going on.
Now, as Y/n was excused herself to the washroom, I stepped outside.
The cool evening air was a welcome change from the cosy cafe.
I glanced around, taking in the quiet streets. That's when I spotted Hoseok.
He was standing across the street, engaged in a heated conversation with Jiyeon.
Their facial expressions looked like they were in the midst of a fierce argument.
I frowned, intrigued.
What are they discussing?
Jiyeon's hands gestured wildly, her eyes flashing.
Hoseok's expression was tense, his jaw clenched.
Suddenly, Jiyeon spun on her heel and stormed off. Leaving Hoseok alone, his shoulders sagging.
My concern spiked.
I quickly pulled out my phone and texted Hoseok: "Dude, you okay?"
My eyes remained on Hoseok, watching as he scanned the message.
His gaze flickered up, searching the surrounding area.
Our eyes met, and I raised an eyebrow in query.
Hoseok's expression turned neutral, but I saw the hint of tension.
He didn't responded, instead pocketing his phone.
Y/n emerged from the cafe, smiling.
"Ready?" She asked, oblivious to the tension.
"Yeah," I replied, forcing a smile.
But my attention remained on Hoseok, wondering what had transpired. And whether he'd open up about it.
As we strolled through the quiet streets, Y/n leaned into me, her shoulder brushing mine.
"Hey Fluffernutter," she said using her ridiculous nickname for me.
"What's up, Snugglebug?" I replied grinning.
Y/n giggled. "You're so weird."
"Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting," I said, winking.
We walked in comfortable silence for a moment before Y/n spoke up.
"Thanks for tonight, Fluffernutter. I needed this."
"Aww, anytime, Snugglebug," I said squeezing her shoulder.
"You're the best Fluffernutter a girl could ask for."
I chuckled. "You're just saying that because I'm your personal bodyguard."
Y/n playfully rolled her eyes. "That's just a bonus."
We turned onto her street, the familiar houses looming ahead.
"Hey, you know what?" Y/n said, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"What?" I asked, wary.
"Hoseok's girlfriend seems...intense."
I raised an eyebrow. "That's one word for it."
