Y/n POV
"Goodnight, handsome," I texted back, smiling at the thought of Hoseok's charming face.
"Goodnight, beautiful," Hoseok replied. "Isn't it morning in Korea?" I asked, curious.
"Yes, but I wanted you to have a good night," he said, his thoughtfulness warming my heart.
"Aww, thanks. Don't wake up too early, get some sleep," I advised, concern creeping into my voice.
"Who are you to lecture me?" Hoseok teased, his playful tone evident even through text.
"Someone who cares," I shot back, smiling.
"Maybe," Hoseok conceded, "but you're staying up late too."
"How do you know?" I asked, pretending innocence.
"Your texts give you away," he replied, chuckling.
"Maybe I'm just a night owl," I countered, defending my late-night habits.
"Like me," Hoseok added, drawing a mental picture of us both working late, connected across distances.
"You know, I miss you," Hoseok said, shifting the mood from playful to sentimental.
"Miss you too," I replied, my heart skipping a beat as I imagined his smile.
"Can't wait to see you soon," Hoseok texted, longing evident in his words.
"Me neither," I responded, anticipation building.
"What are you doing right now?" Hoseok asked.
"Thinking of you," I replied, honesty pouring out.
"Same here," Hoseok said.
Our conversation trailed off, leaving me with a warm, fuzzy feeling.
"Go to sleep. You need rest," Hoseok said, his concern evident in his words.
"I'm fine. Don't worry about me," I replied, trying to brush off his concern.
But Hoseok wouldn't let up. "Seriously, sleep. I won't talk to you until you're in bed," he warned, his tone firm but gentle.
I felt a pang of stubbornness. "No! Don't do that!" I exclaimed, imagining his determined expression.
"You're exhausting yourself," Hoseok countered. "Your health matters more than our conversation."
His words struck a chord. I knew he genuinely cared.
"Okay, okay. But just five more minutes?" I pleaded.
"No," Hoseok replied succinctly.
I hesitated, then surrendered. "Fine! Goodnight!"
To my surprise, Hoseok's next message was soft and soothing. "Goodnight, beautiful. Sleep tight."
His words wrapped around me like a warm blanket, and I couldn't help but smile.
As I drifted off to sleep, I felt grateful for Hoseok's unwavering support.
Just as I was drifting off to sleep, I heard a faint rustling outside my door. Suddenly, it swung open, and Jungkook and Yoongi burst in, each holding a flashlight.
Their serious expressions cracked me up. "What are you two doing?" I laughed.
Jungkook grinned mischievously. "Mission: Sleep Enforcement."
