Hoseok POV

As Jungkook joined us for breakfast, I sensed a subtle tension. His eyes scanned the room, lingering on her before nodding at me. "Morning, Jungkook," I said, handing him a plate. He smiled, his gaze softening.

Taehyung chattered on, oblivious to the undertones. She smiled at Jungkook, and I felt a pang. Not jealousy, but concern. Jungkook's protection was more than just duty; he cared for her deeply.

As we finished breakfast, I stood. "I'll clear the table," I said. Jungkook's eyes met mine. "I'll help," he offered. "No need, I've got it," I replied. Jungkook stood. "I'll take a walk." My heart skipped a beat. "I'll join you," I said.

Our eyes locked, and I knew we needed to talk. As we stepped outside, Jungkook turned to me. "Hoseok, I need to discuss something important," he said. Suddenly, a forgotten memory resurfaced - my secret. The one I'd hidden from her, but Jungkook already knew.

My stomach twisted into knots. Jungkook's expression was serious, and I sensed he wanted to discuss my secret. Last night, she'd made me forget, but now it came flooding back.

What if she finds out?

What if she leaves me?

I pushed aside the thoughts, focusing on Jungkook.

"What is it?" I asked, trying to sound calm. Jungkook's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze piercing. "We need to talk about your situation," he said, his voice low. My heart sank.

Where was this going?

"Hoseok, why are you still hiding it?" Jungkook asked, his voice tinged with concern.

I looked away, unable to meet his gaze.

"You know why," I muttered.

Jungkook's expression turned stern.

"Yes, I do," he said. "You're hurting yourself and Y/n by keeping this secret."

My heart twisted.

"You don't understand," I said.

Jungkook stepped closer.

"I do understand," he said firmly. "I see how it's eating away at you, how it's affecting your relationship with her. She cares about you, Hoseok. And I care about both of you."

His words struck a chord.

"Why can't you just let it go?" I asked, desperation creeping in.

Jungkook's eyes locked onto mine.

"Because I've seen the way she looks at you," he said. "She deserves the truth, and so do you."

"You're not considering the consequences," I said, trying to rationalize.

Jungkook's grip on my shoulder tightened.

"I am," he said. "But I also see the weight of this secret crushing you. You're losing yourself in it."

I felt a lump form in my throat.

"What if she leaves me?" I whispered.

Jungkook's expression softened.

"Then at least you'll know you were honest with her," he said. "You deserve that honesty, Hoseok. And so does she."

Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.

"You don't get it," I said, my voice cracking.

Jungkook pulled me into a tight hug.

"I do get it," he whispered. "I'm here for you, no matter what."
