Y/n POV
Taehyung's expression softened further. "I'll talk to Jungkook," he said. "But promise me one thing." "What?" I asked. "Take care of yourself," Taehyung replied. "Don't let Hoseok's betrayal define you." His words struck a chord. I nodded, feeling a sense of determination.
"I'll try," I promised. Taehyung's eyes locked onto mine. "I'll hold you to that," he said. The conversation drifted to other topics, but my mind lingered on Taehyung's words. As the evening drew to a close, Taehyung stood up.
"I'll change your number tomorrow," he reminded. I nodded, a mischievous grin spreading across my face. "Hey, Tae?" I said. "What?" he replied, raising an eyebrow.
"Want to prank Jin, Joon, and Jungkook before you leave?" I asked, my eyes sparkling with amusement. Taehyung's face lit up with a sly smile. "Sounds like fun," he said. "Let's do it." We exchanged excited whispers, plotting our prank.
As we finalized our plan, Taehyung chuckled. "This will be epic." I giggled. "Can't wait." With our prank plans set, we called it a night.
"Goodnight," Taehyung said softly. "Goodnight," I whispered. We headed to our respective bedrooms. Tomorrow promised laughter and mischief. And, of course, a new phone number.
I drifted off to sleep, a smile on my face. The thought of Taehyung's impending departure still lingered. But for now, I savored the joy of our impending prank. And Taehyung's unwavering presence.
Next Morning. After breakfast, Taehyung and I headed out to change my phone number. The task was quickly accomplished, and we returned home, eager to execute our prank.
"Time to get them," Taehyung said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
I grinned.
First, Taehyung called Joon.
"Hey, where are you?" Taehyung asked.
"I'm in my office, working," Joon replied. "Why?"
"I need a favor," Taehyung said. "I'm having trouble getting a taxi. Can you pick me up from the airport?"
Joon hesitated.
"I'm busy, sorry. Try calling Jin. He's chilling at home."
Taehyung thanked him and ended the call.
Next, Taehyung dialed Jin.
"Hey, I need a ride from the airport," Taehyung explained.
"I'm at the grocery store," Jin said. "I won't be home for two hours. Call Jungkook, maybe he's free."
Taehyung nodded, even though Jin couldn't see him.
Finally, Taehyung called Jungkook.
"Need a favor," Taehyung said. "Can you pick me up from the airport?"
"I've got training," Jungkook replied. "Can't make it. Call Jin or Joon."
Now it was our turn.
We swiftly called each of them, one by one from my new mobile number, ensuring they wouldn't have time to communicate with each other.
I altered my voice.
First, Joon.
"Taehyung's been kidnapped," I said, trying to sound menacing. "Pay 1 million won if you want him back."
