Yoongi POV

Today was supposed to be my day with Y/n. But I'm running late. I rushed out of the company, my mind preoccupied.

As I drove, my thoughts drifted back to last night. The image haunted me - Hoseok and Y/n, lips locked in a tender kiss. Under the moonlight.

I had stumbled upon them, hidden in the shadows. The others teased, oblivious to my turmoil. Their love was palpable. I knew then. I had lost.

Just like in LA. Y/n's words echoed. "We can never be." "I won't be able to love you back." Heartbreak loomed. For both of us.

I knew I had to let go. But how? Was my love for Y/n doomed from the start? Were Hoseok and Y/n meant to be?

I arrived at Y/n's doorstep. Hesitation gripped me. Should I knock? What if she's resting? Y/n must be really exhausted.

I've seen her working tirelessly on the ongoing collaboration between Celestia Group and HBI Enterprises. Her dedication is admirable. But at what cost? Her well-being?

Thankfully, I knew the passcode. I slipped inside. The scene before me shattered my heart.

Y/n and Hoseok. Asleep on the couch. Entwined. Hoseok's arms wrapped around her. Protective. Loving.

My heart bled. But a glimmer of happiness for Y/n. She'd found love again. Perhaps even if her heart belonged to Hoseok, she'd stay by my side.

Like always. A comforting thought. A painful reality. I stood there, frozen. Witness to their love. And my own heartache.

Would I ever learn to let go? Only time would tell.

I stood there, frozen, as the weight of my emotions settled in. I had known this day would come, but witnessing it was a different story. My mind raced with memories of our time together, laughter, and late-night conversations.

My eyes lingered on Y/n's peaceful face, her features relaxed in Hoseok's embrace. She looked happy. Content. A pang of jealousy struck, but I pushed it aside. I wanted her to be happy, even if it wasn't with me.

I recalled our conversations, her smiles, and her unwavering dedication. Y/n deserved every ounce of happiness.

My gaze drifted to Hoseok, his arms wrapped protectively around her. He loved her, truly loved her. I couldn't fault him for that.

A mix of emotions swirled within me - sadness, longing, and acceptance. I knew I had to let go.

I took a step back, careful not to disturb them. My presence felt like an intrusion. I didn't belong here.

As I turned to leave, my gaze fell on the scattered papers and files on the coffee table. Y/n's work. Her tireless efforts to make things right.

The collaboration with HBI Enterprises, Hoseok's company, was her way of redemption. After discovering the truth about their past, Y/n had become a potential investor, determined to help Hoseok's company rise.

Her selflessness and kindness knew no bounds. I admired her strength.

My heart swelled with pride. Despite the pain, I knew I'd support her. Always.

I quietly slipped out, closing the door behind me. The cool air outside was a welcome respite.

I took a deep breath. Letting go. One step at a time.

As I walked away, I realized our friendship wasn't defined by romance. Y/n would always hold a special place in my heart.

With time, the ache would fade.
