Taehyung POV

I dialed Y/n's number, wondering what she was up to. We hadn't spoken in a while, and I missed her soothing voice.

But instead of her soft tone, a deep, unfamiliar voice answered.

"Hello?" the man said.

I frowned, taken aback. Who was this?

"Hi, is Y/n available?" I asked, trying to hide my surprise.

"Who's this?" the man replied, his tone cautious.

"I'm Taehyung," I said, my voice firm.

The line paused for a moment, and I could sense the man's hesitation.

"Taehyung, Y/n talks about you a lot," he said finally.

My curiosity piqued, I leaned in, eager to know more.

"Who are you, and where's Y/n?" I demanded, my concern growing.

"I'm Yoongi, her friend from LA," he explained. "Y/n's not feeling well, so I'm staying with her, taking care of her."

My alarm bells rang loudly. What was wrong with Y/n?

"What happened?" I asked, my voice laced with worry.

Yoongi hesitated before responding.

"She had a heavy period due to hormonal imbalance. Doctors said she needs rest and minimal stress."

My mind racing, I recalled Y/n's words about Hoseok. Could that be connected?

"And what's stressing her out?" I pressed, my grip on the phone tightening.

Yoongi's tone turned serious.

"Hoseok. She's been thinking about him a lot lately."

My eyes narrowed. That was unacceptable.

"Put Y/n on the call," I requested, trying to keep my emotions in check.

Yoongi's words echoed in my mind. Hormonal imbalance, heavy period, stress... and Hoseok.

I couldn't believe it. Hoseok was still affecting Y/n's life.

"Put Y/n on the call," I repeated, my impatience growing.

"I'll check if she's awake," Yoongi said.

Moments passed before Yoongi returned.

"She's awake, but weak. Keep it brief."

"Got it," I said.

Y/n's soft voice came on the line.

"Taehyung?"

"Y/n, how are you?" I asked, concern etched in my voice.

"I'm...okay," she replied, her tone barely above a whisper.

"I'm so sorry, Y/n. I should have taken care of Hoseok," I admitted, guilt washing over me.

"It's not your fault, Taehyung," Y/n reassured.

But I knew it was. I should have protected her.

"I'll fix this," I vowed.

Y/n's gentle laugh warmed my heart.

"Thank you, Taehyung."

I smiled.

"Anything for you, Y/n. Take care, okay?"
