Hoseok POV

I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling as I recalled our call earlier. The emptiness felt suffocating.

I missed her laughter, her smile, her touch.

My mind wandered to our conversation. She seemed a bit down, but I reassured her that I'd wait for her, no matter how long.

I glanced at the photo of us on my nightstand. Our faces were etched with happiness, our arms wrapped around each other.

It had only been three days since we'd been apart, but it felt like an eternity. The distance was already taking its toll.

But I refused to give up. I'd promised her that I'd wait, and I intended to keep that promise.

I closed my eyes, letting her voice echo in my mind. "I love you, Hoseok."

My heart swelled. "I love you too," I whispered back, even though she couldn't hear me.

Sleep eventually claimed me, but my dreams were filled with visions of our reunion.

_____________

My dreams were vivid, filled with memories of our time together. I woke up with a start, feeling a pang of longing.

It was morning in Seoul, and evening in LA, where she was.

The time difference made our schedules tricky, but we made it work.

I reached for my phone, calculating the 16-hour difference.

"Good morning, love," I typed, knowing she'd receive it during her evening.

I sent the message, waiting anxiously for her response.

The minutes ticked by, and my phone buzzed.

"Good evening, Hoseok."

I grinned, feeling a connection across the distance.

"How's your day?" I asked.

"Busy. Missing you," she replied.

My heart skipped a beat.

"Missing you too," I typed.

The conversation flowed effortlessly, bridging the gap between us.

As I went about my morning, her words lingered in my mind.

"Don't get too lost in Y/n's thoughts, otherwise you'll get late for work," Jimin teased, chuckling.

I nodded, a hint of sadness creeping into my voice. "I miss her already, Jimin. And it's only been three days."

Jimin's expression softened, his eyes filled with understanding.

"She told me last night that it'll take months, maybe even years, for her to return," I said, feeling a pang of longing.

Jimin's face empathized with me. "How are you going to make it?" he asked gently.

I shook my head, feeling a bit helpless. "I don't know, Jimin."

Jimin placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "You're not the only one missing Y/n, Hoseok. I'm missing Yoongi too. And let's not forget Taehyung – he must be missing Jungkook like crazy."

I smiled weakly, feeling a bit better.

"So don't worry, we'll wait for them to return," Jimin said, his voice filled with conviction.

I nodded, taking a deep breath.

"Hey, Jimin?" I said, a sudden thought striking me.

"Yeah?" he replied.
