Hoseok POV
As I explained the math concepts, Y/N's expression transformed from confusion to understanding. I loved seeing that spark.
Taehyung sat beside Y/N, occasionally chiming in with a joke or witty remark. His presence made our study session more relaxed.
When Y/N finally grasped the concept, her face lit up. "Thanks, Hoseok," she said, relieved. I smiled, feeling satisfied. "Anytime."
Taehyung nudged Y/N playfully. "Looks like you've got this." Y/N responded with a grin, "Fingers crossed!"
I chuckled, packing up my notes.
"You two want to grab food?" I asked. Taehyung nodded. "I'm starving." Y/N stood up, stretching. "Let's go."
As we walked to the cafeteria line, Taehyung teased Y/N about her math skills.
Y/N playfully defended herself. I watched, enjoying their easy banter.
Something about Y/N's smile caught my attention.
I felt...distracted.
We grabbed our food and returned to our table. Taehyung regaled us with stories of his morning class. Y/N laughed, nearly spitting out her drink. I grinned.
As we ate, our conversation flowed easily. We discussed everything from school gossip to favorite TV shows.
Y/N teased Taehyung about his terrible gaming skills. Taehyung pretended to be offended. I chuckled, feeling at home with my friends.
After lunch, we walked out of the cafeteria together.
"Thanks for helping me with the concepts, Hoseok," Y/N said.
"No problem," I replied. "Anytime."
Taehyung clapped me on the back. "You're a lifesaver, Hoseok." I smiled. "Remember, I already owe you one. So now we are equal, I guess."
He nodded and smiled at me. "Don't worry, you've got this. But also remember what I've told. Don't forget it."
As we parted ways for our afternoon classes, I felt appreciative.
Friendships like ours were rare.
I looked forward to our next gathering.
Maybe we could hang out outside of school?
The math test flew by in a blur.
When it ended, Y/N and I exchanged relieved smiles. "You survived," I whispered. She grinned. "Barely."
Just then, Taehyung walked towards us, a curious expression on his face. "How was the test?" he asked.
Y/N and I shared a laugh.
"It was survivable," I replied. Taehyung chuckled. "Glad to hear that."
She then checked her schedule. "I have an off lecture next." "I've got class," I said, gathering my things. "I'll walk you," she offered.
Taehyung nodded. "I'll take off. See you guys later." We bid Taehyung farewell.
As she walked me through the empty hallway, we chatted about the test.
When we approached my classroom, she turned to me. "Good luck with the rest of your day."
"You too," I replied.
