Y/n POV
I got up from my place and went inside the kitchen to make myself a cup of coffee. The soft hum of the refrigerator and the gentle gurgle of the coffee maker provided a soothing background noise, a welcome respite from my racing thoughts.
As I waited for the coffee to brew, I leaned against the counter, my eyes drifting toward the window. The city outside was quiet, the streetlights casting long shadows across the deserted streets.
My mind began to wander again, but this time, I let it. I thought about tomorrow's meeting, about seeing Hoseok again. What would he say? Would he even acknowledge me?
The coffee maker beeped, breaking my reverie. I poured myself a steaming cup and added a dash of creamer, watching as the liquid swirled into a creamy vortex.
I took a sip, letting the warmth spread through my veins. For a moment, the world seemed to slow down, and all that mattered was the taste of the coffee.
But as I stood there, cradling the cup in my hands, I couldn't shake off the feeling that tomorrow would change everything.
Yesterday, I saw how Hoseok looked at me as I entered the meeting hall. A smirk played on my lips as I finished my coffee and ran upstairs towards my wardrobe. I was determined to make an impression.
I took out my best black blazer, one that accentuated my curves in all the right places. Next came a black formal shirt, its crisp folds and sharp collar exuding confidence. I paired it with my best watch, its sleek design and subtle gleam guaranteed to catch the light.
My eyes scanned the shelves, settling on my most expensive, black high-heeled pumps. The ones that made my legs look miles long and my stride unstoppable. The black leather gleamed in the light, and I could already imagine the clicking sound they'd make as I walked into the meeting room.
Finally, I added a simple yet elegant silver chain, delicate enough to hint at my vulnerability but bold enough to command attention.
When I looked at the clothes I had just taken out of my wardrobe, I smirked. Tomorrow, Hoseok was going to be hard-pressed to keep his eyes off me.
I felt a thrill of anticipation as I envisioned his reaction. The way his eyes would narrow, his gaze lingering on every curve. The way his expression would tighten, his jaw clenched in restraint.
But I knew better than to let my guard down. This wasn't about rekindling old flames; it was about control.
And tomorrow, I was taking back control.
I hung the outfit on the door, visualizing myself walking into the meeting room. Confident. Poised. Unstoppable.
A shiver ran down my spine as I imagined Hoseok's eyes on me, his mind racing with thoughts he couldn't express.
Tomorrow was going to be interesting.
As I stood there, lost in thought, my phone buzzed again. This time, it was a text from Taehyung.
"Hey, just wanted to check in. You okay?"
I smiled, feeling grateful for his concern.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just preparing for tomorrow's meeting."
"Remember what I said," Taehyung replied. "Give Hoseok a chance."
I took a deep breath, my mind racing with thoughts.
"I'll try," I replied, unsure if I was ready.
Taehyung sent a supportive emoji, and I felt a surge of determination.
