Y/n POV
As we walked out of the restaurant, the cool air hit us, and Jisoo's anger seemed to dissipate slightly. Jin, still trying to placate her, walked beside her, talking softly.
"Jisoo, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. You're an amazing Secretary, and I don't know what I'd do without you."
Jisoo's expression softened slightly, and she looked up at Jin. "You'd better not forget it," she said, a hint of a smile on her face.
Yoongi and I exchanged a relieved glance. It seemed like the crisis had been averted.
As we drove back to the office, the group of us fell into a comfortable silence. Jungkook walked ahead, scanning the surroundings, while Jin and Jisoo walked together, their earlier argument seemingly forgotten.
Yoongi fell into step beside me, a thoughtful expression on his face. "You know, I think Jisoo and I should have a competition to see who's the better Secretary," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.
I raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And what makes you think you can beat Jisoo?"
Yoongi grinned. "I'm the Secretary of the CEO, after all. I have to deal with a million different tasks and responsibilities every day. Jisoo may have Jin wrapped around her finger, but I'm the one who really knows how to get things done."
I chuckled. "Well, I think Jisoo might have something to say about that. But hey, if you two want to have a competition, I'm happy to be the judge."
Yoongi's eyes lit up. "Really? You'll judge our competition?"
I nodded. "Of course. But don't expect any special treatment just because you're my Secretary. I'll be judging you both based on your skills and abilities alone."
Yoongi grinned, looking confident. "Don't worry, I can handle it. I'm going to win this competition and prove that I'm the best Secretary in the company."
I smiled, looking forward to seeing how the competition would play out. "We'll see about that," I said, a hint of a smile on my face.
I sat at my desk, focusing on the task at hand. The hours ticked by, and before I knew it, the clock on the wall read 9:00 PM. I was so engrossed in my work that I hadn't even noticed the time. The office was quiet, the only sound the hum of the fluorescent lights overhead.
As I typed away on my computer, Yoongi appeared at my door. "Ma'am, it's getting late," he said, his voice soft but firm. "Maybe you should call it a night?"
I shook my head, not looking up from my screen. "I'm almost done, Yoongi. Just a few more minutes."
Yoongi hesitated, but I could tell he was worried about me overworking myself. "Ma'am, really, it's late. You should get some rest."
I sighed, finally looking up at him. "Yoongi, I appreciate your concern, but I really need to finish this. Just give me another hour, okay?"
Yoongi looked uncertain, but he eventually nodded and left my office. I refocused on my work, typing away as the minutes ticked by.
_____________
Another hour passed, and I was just finishing up my report when Jin burst into my office, a look of concern on his face.
"What are you doing, still working at this hour?" he exclaimed, striding over to my desk. "You're going to burn yourself out!"
I rubbed my tired eyes, feeling a bit defensive. "I just needed to finish this report, Jin. It's almost done."
