Y/n POV
I sat alone at the restaurant, nursing a cold cup of coffee. The bustling atmosphere couldn't lift my spirits.
I checked my watch for what felt like the hundredth time.
Taehyung was running late.
Again.
My phone buzzed, breaking the silence.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Y/n, where is Jungkook?" Yoongi asked, his tone stern.
"I left him at the company," I replied.
"What did I tell you about going out alone?" Yoongi scolded.
"I know, I know. But Taehyung is meeting me here," I explained.
"That's not the point," Yoongi said. "Your safety is my priority."
"I'm fine, really," I assured.
"Jungkook and I will be there shortly," Yoongi announced.
"Why? I'm meeting Taehyung," I clarified.
"There's paperwork for the Celestia Group project launch," Yoongi explained.
I sighed.
"Right, the investor meeting tomorrow."
"Yes. We need your signature on the proposed terms," Yoongi said.
"Alright, see you soon."
I hung up, feeling a mix of relief and anxiety.
Just as I began to worry about Taehyung's tardiness, Yoongi and Jungkook walked in.
"Ma'am," Yoongi greeted formally.
Jungkook nodded in greeting, his eyes scanning the area.
Yoongi whispered, "You shouldn't have left without Jungkook."
"I know," I whispered back.
Jungkook took his position beside me, ever vigilant.
Yoongi handed me papers and files.
"Let's get this done quickly," I said.
Just as we began reviewing the documents, the door swung open.
Taehyung.
Finally.
His apologetic smile and tired eyes said it all.
He rushed over, greeting Yoongi with a nod.
Then, his eyes met Jungkook's.
Their gazes locked.
Jungkook's face lit up.
Taehyung swept Jungkook into a tight hug.
Jungkook's arms wrapped around Taehyung.
Taehyung cupped Jungkook's face.
Their lips met in a soft kiss.
I teased, "My favourite couple, always stealing the show."
Taehyung and Jungkook broke apart, blushing.
"Y/n, don't," Jungkook said, laughing.
Taehyung smiled.
"Missed you," he said to Jungkook.
"Missed you more," Jungkook replied.
I rolled my eyes good-naturedly.
