Y/n POV

I sat in the university library, surrounded by towering shelves of books and quiet students typing away on their laptops. The soft glow of table lamps and gentle hum of computers created a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for focusing.

My books and notes lay scattered across the wooden table, but my mind wandered away from the business strategies and financial analyses. Yoongi's offer lingered in my thoughts.

"I'd love to be your personal assistant."

Why did he want to help me? What did he gain from it?

A shiver ran down my spine as familiar doubts crept in.

What if he's another Hoseok? What if he betrays me?

The memories of Hoseok's deception still stung, leaving raw wounds.

I couldn't bear the thought of reliving that pain.

My gaze drifted toward the clock on the wall. 2:45 pm. Fifteen minutes until our meeting.

I gathered my belongings, shoving them into my backpack.

Time to get answers. Time to uncover Yoongi's true intentions.

I packed up my books and notes, my mind still lingering on Yoongi's offer.

Becoming my personal assistant?

It seemed too good to be true. As I walked out of the library, the afternoon sun greeted me, casting a warm glow over the campus.

I entered the cafeteria, scanning the room until I spotted Yoongi. His smile faltered for a moment as I approached.

"Sit down," he said, his tone neutral.

I took a seat, my expression impassive. "So, about your offer to be my personal assistant..."

Yoongi leaned back, a hint of a smile on his lips. "It's a long story."

"I've got time," I replied, my voice firm but curious.

Yoongi's gaze drifted, his eyes focusing on something beyond me. "I'm not exactly... academic," he began. "Business always fascinated me, but I never thought of running my own company."

"Why not?" I asked, intrigued.

Yoongi's shoulders shrugged. "Fear, I guess. What if I failed?"

I nodded, understanding.

"So, I decided to become a personal assistant," Yoongi continued. "Help someone successful reach their goals, learn from them... and maybe, one day, I'll have the courage to take the leap myself."

His words hung in the air, revealing a vulnerability I hadn't expected.

I studied Yoongi's face, searching for any sign of deception. But all I saw was sincerity.

"And you think I'm the right person to help?" I asked, my tone softer.

Yoongi nodded. "You're driven, smart... and honest. I believe in your vision."

His words warmed me, but I wouldn't let my guard down easily.

"What makes you think I need a personal assistant?" I pressed.

Yoongi leaned forward, his eyes sparkling. "You're taking on too much alone. I can help alleviate some stress, ensure your business runs smoothly."

I raised an eyebrow. "You've done your research."

Yoongi smiled. "I have."

His confidence was infectious, but I still had doubts.
