Y/n POV

I snuggled deeper into Hoseok's embrace, feeling his warmth envelop me. His heartbeat was a soothing melody, calming my thoughts. As I gazed into his eyes, I sensed a hint of sadness - a shadow lingered, one he tried to hide.

"Stay with me," he whispered, his lips brushing against my ear. I smiled, my heart skipping a beat. "Forever," I replied, my voice barely audible. But as I looked at him, I saw the tension in his shoulders, the crease between his brows, and the pain in his eyes.

"Hoseok?" I asked, my voice soft. "What's troubling you?" He smiled, but it faltered, and I knew he was hiding something. "Nothing," he said, but I knew better. I saw the fear lurking behind his eyes, the secrets he kept hidden.

"Hoseok," I whispered, trying to get him to open up. He looked away, avoiding my gaze. "Hoseok, look at me," I urged. His gaze returned, but it was guarded. "I'm here," he said, but I knew he wasn't - not entirely. A part of him remained hidden, guarded, and protected from me and the world.

"What is it?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Hoseok's eyes dropped, and he pulled me closer. His lips brushed against mine - a gentle kiss, a soothing touch. But I sensed desperation, fear, and uncertainty behind it.

What secrets did he hide?

What burdens did he carry?

And how could I help him?

As we held each other, I felt his tension ease, his breathing slow. But my questions lingered.

What was he hiding?

And when would he trust me enough to reveal the truth?

I pushed the thoughts away, focusing on the present. On Hoseok's warmth. On his love.

For now, that was enough. I wrapped my arms around him, holding him close. His heartbeat slowed, his breathing steadied, and his muscles relaxed. In my arms, he found solace.

But I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. That there was more to his story than he was letting on. I pushed the thoughts away, focusing on the present. As we sat together, the silence between us grew comfortable.

Hoseok's eyes drifted shut, his head nestled against mine. I watched him, studying the contours of his face. The sharp jawline, the full lips, the eyelashes that fluttered with each blink. He was beautiful, inside and out.

My heart swelled with love. "Hoseok?" I whispered, my voice barely audible. "Yes?" he replied, his eyes still closed.

"I love you," I said, my voice filled with conviction. Hoseok's eyes opened, and our gazes met. In that moment, everything felt right. The world outside receded, leaving only us. Our love. Our sanctuary.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting shadows across the room, I couldn't shake off the feeling that our happiness was fleeting. That the darkness lurking outside would soon encroach. I pushed the thoughts away, not wanting to taint this moment.

"Hoseok?" I whispered again.

"Yes?" he replied.

"Promise me something," I said.

"Anything," he replied.

"Promise me you'll always be honest with me," I said.

Hoseok's gaze faltered.

"Promise me," I pressed.

"I promise," he whispered.

But his eyes told a different story.
