Hoseok POV
Jiyeon's eyes widened, but she quickly masked her surprise with a smirk.
"Let me go, Hoseok. You're making a scene."
My grip tightened.
"You think you can just walk away after what you did to Y/N?"
Jiyeon's smile twisted.
"You're so predictable, Hoseok. You'll do anything to protect your little darling."
My anger flared.
"You have no idea what you've done."
Jiyeon's voice dropped to a whisper.
"Oh, I think I do. And I'll do it again, if it means getting what I want."
Rage coursed through my veins.
With a sudden movement, I pulled Jiyeon closer.
"You're going to pay for what you've done," I hissed.
Jiyeon's eyes flashed with fear, but she quickly regained her composure.
"You'll regret this," she spat.
I leaned in, my voice low.
"You're the one who'll regret hurting Y/N. I'll make sure of it."
Suddenly, Jiyeon's eyes darted past me, and her expression faltered.
I turned to see what caught her attention.
A boy approached us, his eyes locked onto Jiyeon with a mix of curiosity and wariness.
Jiyeon's expression transformed, a sugary sweet smile spreading across her face.
"Oh, you're the boy who saved Y/N, right?" she cooed.
The boy's eyes narrowed, his gaze flicking to me before returning to Jiyeon.
"What's it to you?" he asked, his tone cautious.
Jiyeon's smile widened.
"I just wanted to thank you personally. You're quite the hero."
The boy's expression remained skeptical.
"I didn't do it for your thanks," he said bluntly.
I released Jiyeon's arm, my eyes still locked onto hers.
"Leave," I growled.
Jiyeon's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure.
"Fine. I'll leave. But this isn't over, Hoseok."
With a flick of her hair, she turned and walked away.
The boy watched her leave, then turned to me.
"You're Hoseok, right?" he asked.
I nodded.
"Thanks for stepping in. I didn't know what to do."
I studied him.
"You're the one who found Y/N?"
He nodded.
"I'm Hoseok," I said, extending my hand.
"I'm Sungwoo," he replied, shaking it.
"Thanks for helping Y/N," I said genuinely.
Sungwoo's expression darkened.
