Hoseok POV

As I hurried away from the park, my mind raced with conflicting emotions. I had been on the verge of confessing everything to Y/n. About Jiyeon. My secret girlfriend. The one person who made my heart skip a beat.

But also the one person who had made Y/n's life a living hell. Jiyeon's relentless bullying had left scars. Scars I feared would never fully heal. And I was trapped in the middle. Torn between loyalty and guilt.

I couldn't bear the thought of Y/n's disappointment. Her disgust. Her potential hatred. What if she saw me differently? What if our newfound friendship shattered? I couldn't risk it.

So I made the most ridiculous excuse. "I'm late," I blurted, glancing at my watch. Pathetic. But effective. Y/n's concerned expression still lingered in my mind.

I felt like a coward. Hiding behind a lie. But self-preservation won out. As I walked away, I knew I had to confront Jiyeon. Her behaviour was unacceptable. But how could I stop her? Without losing Y/n's trust?

The weight of my secrets threatened to suffocate me. I was caught in a web of deceit, and I didn't know how to escape. Jiyeon's grip on me was tight, but Y/n's friendship was my lifeline.

I was walking hurriedly, lost in thought, when I accidentally bumped into someone. "Hoseok?" A familiar voice called out. I looked up to see Taehyung, concern etched on his face.

He extended his hand, pulling me up from the ground. "Where's the fire, man?" Taehyung asked, eyeing me curiously. I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "I... uh... just had to go," I stammered. 'Fuck you, Hoseok!' I cursed myself for stammering. I just rip that tongue out for this.

Taehyung's gaze narrowed. 'Just what I thought.' "You talked to Y/n, right?" He pressed. My heart skipped a beat. "Yeah... why?" I replied cautiously. Taehyung's eyes sparkled with amusement. "I wanted to hang out with her today, but she said she had to meet you. And here you are leaving like a coward."

I shifted uncomfortably. Taehyung's grip on my arm tightened. "Hey, what's going on?" He asked, sensing my nervousness. I tried to brush him off, but her wouldn't let go.

"Hoseok, if I'm not wrong... is Jiyeon your girlfriend?" Taehyung asked, his voice low and serious. My breath hitched. Words got stuck in my throat. I stammered, "W-what makes you think that?" 'WHY AM I FUCKING STAMMERING!' Taehyung's eyes pierced through me. "Don't dare to lie, Hoseok. I know you're hiding something."

Concerned, I confessed. "Y-yes... she is." Taehyung's expression turned shocked. "Did you tell Jiyeon to bully Y/n?" He demanded. I recoiled, horrified. "No! Why would I do that?" Taehyung's gaze hardened.

"Probably to impress Y/n, make her fall into your little shitty games, and break her fragile heart," he accused. 'Wow, Hoseok, what you've got yourself into...' I shook my head vigorously. "No, Taehyung! That's not true! Our families arranged it. Jiyeon and I... we were forced together."

His eyes softened slightly. "But do you like Y/n?" He asked, voice laced with accusation. I protested. "No! She's just a friend." Taehyung's gaze lingered, searching for truth.

"I liked Jiyeon at first," I admitted. "But she changed... threatened me. To stay away from Y/n, or she'll tell my parents... and they'll disown me." Taehyung's expression turned sympathetic yet angry.

"I won't tell Y/n your secret," he vowed. "But if she gets hurt because of you... you're dead." His words sent a chill down my spine.

I thanked Taehyung for keeping my secret a secret, relief washing over me.
