Chapter 106
Lucas' point of view
Myra thought she could escape me, and that bastard mate of hers thought he could evade death. Premium joke of the year, because never! Never!
Myra is forever mine, and forever bound to me. Just like how that mate of hers is fated for the grounds. I'll make sure to skin him alive this time, and bury his bones so far deep into the earth no one would be reminded he ever existed.
My troop and I arrived late into Crystal Moon pack, the journey was long mainly cause of our numbers. I wasn't just going to take the woman that belongs to me, I'm going to wipe every trace of existence in that pack.
That pack is her past, the only thing keeping her from fully owned by me. I don't care about the deal I have with that shapeshifter, I'll end them all, the shapeshifter herself included.
She was a fool to ever struck a deal with me, she'll regret it and learn the hard way.
At least I would have used her and have back in my possession the woman that belongs to me, the light to my darkness, the angel for my damned soul. She completes me, I can't let her go.
I have to be with her, she has to be with me. We love each other, and we're going to rule the world side by side.
'Let's not forget you're going to sacrifice her first,' my wolf jabbed at me, a harsh reminder of that particular process for her a greater future.
It's nothing. She'll understand. Besides she's not going to stay dead, when I have all the power there is to have in the whole world. Death will be at my command, and I would revive her in a finger snap to rule the universe forever with me, by my side, as my other half and one that completes me.
We were quick to overwhelm their guards with our mass arrival, seized their value and effortlessly stomped through their grounds.
By the time we got to the main pack, a signal must have been sent over to inform them about the sudden infiltration of their Alpha King so most of them were already knelt to the floor, surrendered.
I didn't come for any of them, my gaze lingered over their meek figures until my eyes landed on the father of the one I seek.
I approached him at once, my build instantly towering over his as he shivered beneath my dominance. For an Alpha, he seems like a weakling. Pathetic.
"Where is your son?" I asked him at once, my voice dark and dangerous, the perfect reflection of the aura around him. I'm certain they could sniff and note the danger that surrounded and came with me.
"Your Majesty, I fear I may not have an answer for that. We were together up until after dinner yesterday, I expected he went to his room to call it a night but was met with a shock when we were notified of your arrival and my son was nowhere to be seen, alongside that-" he paused all of a sudden, as if cautious of his next words.
"Alongside his alleged mate, Myra De Vries," bitterness rolled off his tongue at the mention of my queen.
Skies shielded his head from coming off his body if he hadn't addressed Myra properly, I could see how he held himself back from whatever he wanted to call her, and decided to use a more proper term.
No disrespect would be tolerated against Myra. She's to be treated with utmost honor, and esteem.
I looked away from the shivering father, his pathetic sight a squinch to my eyes. My gaze settled instead on the girl I've struck a deal with.
She assured me success in this plan of hers, certain there won't be failure of any sorts. Did she betray me?
Granted it was her who proposed an alliance, she could have gotten a change of mind and sabotage our plan. I'll kill her.
I closed up the small space that separated us and sent a palm to cage her neck. She choked and gasped for air as both her hands worked it way around my wrist to struggle for freedom.
"Tell me what happened?" I demanded. I wanted to hear her truth, before I find out for myself. If she intends to lie, then it'll be the last thing she does on earth.
I lowered the pressure I had on her neck so she could breathe as well as talk. Her eyes already the deepest shade of red, and fear.
"He wasn't lying." Her eyes went over to Logan's father. "They were truly here, they must have ran away while we were all sleeping or-"
"Was that the fucking plan!" I strengthened back the hold on her neck as she went back to coughing and fighting for survival. The plan was for her to drug them, tell me why she failed and make them escape her clutches!
She's useless. I thought I'd need her, but she proved herself useless.
"I already made the spray,......it's my room as we speak." She coughed, "I was suppose to use it on them this midnight like we agreed...." More coughs. "On... also prepare Myra for you to take hostage......."
"I don't know what went wrong or how they got an idea of our plan to make a run from it," she choked out an explanation, barely hanging on to her survival.
I don't trust her so I went into her head to see if she was either lying or saying the truth. She wasn't lying, this wasn't her fault.
This was the universe. I made a jab at her, and she indeed fucked up my plan. But serious jokes on her because I'm not going to stop until I've gotten exactly what is it I want, the universe can try and continue to try, but will never be able to stop me.
"I'm taking all of you hostage, then I'm gonna send out word to wherever your Alpha has taken my mate and daughter to hide that he better shows up with them or he lose his whole pack and family." I dropped my hold on her neck to address the whole pack of what has come to become of their fate.
They shouldn't blame me and rather blame that stupid Alpha of theirs who wouldn't let go of something that doesn't belong to him.
Myra belongs to me! She is mine, and the sooner he lets her go, the better for him.
"Pack everyone up!" I looked at my men, and instructed.
